On this day some time ago, God remembered my wife and I by bringing to the world our first born and daughter. As the young couple that we are, she was born in a general hospital - Harare Hospital. As I approached the ward where my wife was, I saw several babies in prams being taken to the nursery and mine was one of them. I looked at them and told my brother Gordon Mapeto who accompanied me, "this must be my baby". She was unique and the one with the longest hair. Later when we were taken to the nursery, the nurses directed me to that very baby, my love, my pride, my sweetest, Vanessa Makoni. Happy birthday sweetie. Daddy loves you to bits and today I bless you my baby. Keep soaring and be the best of what God created you to be in Him. Happy birthday mwanangu!
