To commemorate GBV and mental health this month. Loudsilence and Dura Foundation took Safe Commutes into public space creating art that reflects lived experiences and conversations that demand safer mobility for women and girls. This is how we build a movement: together, visibly, and unapologetically.

The Safe Commutes Campaign is an initiative that raises awareness about the harassment and violence women and girls face while using public transport in Zimbabwe. It uses feminist public art, storytelling, and community dialogue to make these experiences visible, create safe spaces for expression, and advocate for safer, gender-responsive mobility in cities.

WhatsApp Discussion Topic: October Awareness Chat

Theme: Healing Inside & Out — Nurturing Our Minds, Bodies, and Voices.” 💗🧠

October reminds us that wellness is more than being free from illness — it’s about caring for both our mental and physical health.

As we observe Mental Health Awareness Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let’s open up conversations that matter.

💭 Let’s talk about:
✨ How does stress or emotional health affect our physical wellbeing?
✨ Why is it important for young women & men do regular self-checks and seek support early?
✨ How can we, as youth, challenge stigma around mental health and cancer?
✨ What does healing look like for you — emotionally and physically?

Join us as we create a safe space to learn, share, and support one another. 💕
