St. Tabeth Children's Home Gokwe South Chidoma

St. Tabeth Children's Home Gokwe South Chidoma St Tabeth orphaned Children's Centre a PVO (Private Voluntary Organisation registered by the Ministry Founded by Ms. Gellie Ruzane in the early 90s, St. St.

Tabeth Children’s Home was established with a vision to support orphaned and marginalized children. The organization is committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable children, particularly in Gokwe South Rural District and surrounding communities in Zimbabwe. Tabeth Children’s Home, located in Chidoma, Gokwe South District, is fully accredited and provides essential services such as food, heal

th care, education, and a safe and stable living environment for the children in its care. The home accepts orphaned children placed through the Government court system, voluntary placements, and private placements, from as young as one day old to eighteen years of age. The organization also supports children who have been orphaned or infected by raising awareness and funds through various channels, including local events, volunteer opportunities, online donations, and community-driven farming initiatives. One of the key projects is the Kwidza-Bhara initiative, a commercial vegetable garden aimed at fostering self-reliance for the institution and the wider community. This project has been endorsed by the local community and is designed to help sustain the organization in the long term. While significant progress has been made over the past years, there is still much to be done. At present, urgent support is needed to secure basic foodstuffs and other essential resources to ensure the children have access to the warmth and nourishment they require. While we have made significant progress in fulfilling our mission, we are currently seeking support in the following areas to further enhance the well-being and education of the children in our care:

Short Term NEEDS- School Uniforms and Academic Stationery, Food supplies, Resident Medical Room Equipment, Branded Main Road Signage, Borehole and Housing Units Solarisation. Long Term NEEDS- Children Play Center, Toilet Upgrades, Commercial Garden Irrigation System, ECD ICT Center Development, Piggery and Goat Project, Infrastructure Renovations, Green House Development. As the world continues to grapple with the economic and social impacts, the need for support has never been more urgent. Tabeth.org is committed to maximizing every donation to ensure that funds directly benefit on-the-ground healthcare, supplies, and OVC programs. You can make a difference by joining their global campaign. Whether through a monetary donation or by contributing items, your support will have a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of these children. St. Tabeth Children’s Home: Building a Sustainable Future for Vulnerable Children

Registered Private Voluntary Organisation (PVO 13/2015) – Chidoma, Gokwe District

St. Tabeth Children’s Home is a registered Private Voluntary Organisation in Chidoma, dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and permanent home for orphaned and vulnerable children in the Gokwe district.

Our mission is to ensure that every child under our care has access to shelter, nutrition, education, and emotional support within a loving, family-oriented environment. We are deeply committed to fostering self-reliance and sustainability—not only for the children we serve but also for the long-term stability of our home.

Our Goal

We are seeking US $8,000 to fund two critical social enterprise projects designed to ensure sustainable food security and income generation:

🐔 Poultry Project

This initiative will involve the construction of a modern fowl run and the purchase of chicks, feed, and necessary equipment. The poultry project will enable us to:

Generate income through egg and meat sales

Provide a reliable source of protein for the children

Create a self-sustaining model that supports daily operations

🌱 Market Garden Project

We plan to establish a permaculture market garden to grow fresh vegetables for the children’s daily meals and sell the surplus at local markets. This will:

Supply nutritious food year-round

Generate consistent income

Reduce reliance on fluctuating external donations

Together, these projects will empower St. Tabeth Children’s Home to build a sustainable and resilient future, ensuring that the children’s well-being is secured for years to come.

Expanding Our Impact: Transport and Outreach

In addition, we are seeking US $10,000 to purchase a multipurpose truck that will:

Transport food supplies, school materials, and donations

Support emergency response and outreach in rural communities

Reduce transportation costs and ensure timely delivery of essential goods

This truck will be more than a vehicle—it will be a lifeline for hundreds of vulnerable children, improving their access to nutrition, clothing, and education while strengthening our ability to respond to urgent needs.

Join Us in Making a Difference

Your support will help St. Tabeth Children’s Home move closer to self-sufficiency, ensuring dignity, stability, and hope for every child we serve.

Goal: US $8,000 for the Poultry & Garden Projects
Timeframe: 3 months to go
Current Funding: US $0 raised

Together, we can grow a sustainable future—one child, one project, one act of kindness at a time.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Higherlife Foundation, for their unwavering commitment and compassion in supporting the children under our care.

Through the Higherlife Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education in Gokwe, Midlands Province, the Higherlife Foundation have generously adopted 14 of our resident children. Their long-term pledge includes the provision of school fees, books, uniforms, and food items—ensuring that these children receive consistent support from Early Childhood Development (ECD) through to university.

We are particularly moved by the recent success story of one of our exceptionally talented girl children who, through the Foundation’s efforts, received Assistance at the beginning of this year to advance her education at high school in Gokwe. This gesture is not only life-changing but also a meaningful contribution to Zimbabwe’s broader socio-economic development.

We sincerely appreciate this remarkable partnership and the dedication of the Higherlife Foundation team. Your ongoing support is deeply valued and continues to inspire hope and transformation within our community.

We also take this opportunity to call upon other corporates and well-wishers to join us in our “Adopt-a-Child Education and Skills Development Program.” For more details and project scope, kindly contact our Superintendent, Madam Moddie Moyo.

Once again, we salute you, Mr. and Mrs. Masiyiwa, and the entire team at Higherlife Foundation. Thank you for your exceptional kindness and commitment.

With deep appreciation,

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the members of the Mandara Seventh-Day Adventist Church -SDA Congregation in Chidoma and the ZCC Mbungo congregants at Chidoma for their remarkable gesture and unwavering commitment. Your recent visit to our institution to share the Word of God and administer baptism to our resident children was a deeply moving act of faith and love.

Your dedication ensures that the children in our care grow up rooted in the knowledge of God, instilled with strong moral values, and guided by a fear of the Lord. The continued support from all church communities plays a pivotal role in the rehabilitation and spiritual nurturing of our children.

Our Superintendent, Madam Moddie Moyo has also called upon other church leaders and women of the cloth to visit the Centre and continue to offer the spiritual guidance and encouragement so vital to our mission.

We also take this opportunity to sincerely thank Gogo Lydia Bowdeen and family for their consistent generosity—donating church uniforms and Bibles, and assisting with transportation and preparations for the upcoming Conference on 17th August.

May the Lord richly bless all of you for your kindness, compassion, and support.

God bless St. Tabeth Children's Home.

Amen.
