Every woman has the power to lead, inspire, create, and succeed. When women are given opportunities, communities grow stronger, industries become more innovative, and future generations are empowered to dream bigger.

Today, we celebrate the courage, resilience, and achievements of women who continue to rise above challenges and make a difference in their workplaces, families, and communities.

Let us continue to support, uplift, and invest in women and girls because when women succeed, everyone benefits.

Together, we are proving that there are no limits to what women can achieve.

For generations, women in mining have faced stereotypes that question their strength, abilities, and place in the industry. Many have been told that mining is a man's job, that women are too weak for the work, or that they cannot balance a successful career with family responsibilities.

The reality is different.

Women are geologists, engineers, machine operators, environmental specialists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Every day, they contribute skills, innovation, resilience, and leadership that help drive the mining sector forward.

It is time to challenge outdated perceptions and create opportunities where talent, dedication, and hard work matter more than gender.

When women succeed in mining, families benefit, communities grow stronger, and the industry becomes more inclusive and sustainable.

Let us celebrate the women who are breaking barriers, inspiring future generations, and proving that there is a place for women at every level of the mining value chain.

Young women in mining host communities are often excluded due to unequal access to land, finance, training, and decision-making spaces. Gender norms and systemic barriers continue to limit their full participation in the sector.

As RYWSN, we stand with these young women in calling for fair access, equal opportunities, and a rightful seat at the table in mining. Inclusion is not optional, it is essential for justice, equity, and sustainable community development.

Last week, RYWSN hosted a stakeholder symposium that created a platform for young women to present key issues affecting them in their communities.

From environmental concerns to gender equality in mining communities, young women spoke up, shared their lived experiences, and helped shape practical solutions alongside stakeholders.

Young women are turning their voices into action.

Through our stakeholder symposium, RYWSN created a platform for young women to engage directly with duty bearers and co-create action plans for gender-inclusive environmental practices.

Young women are not just participants, they are shaping solutions for their communities.
