Youth Affirmative Foundation was , established in April 2000 by a group of highly motivated and civic minded youths Over the last five years YAF enjoys the history of being a civil society organization committed to work for the youth with the main purpose to bring changes in policies with the help of the locals that can lead them towards a prosperous and peaceful society by promoting volunteerism in youth. Yaf was founded as an organization designed "to encourage young people to speak up and pursue lasting solutions to problems they care deeply about." We came into existence as a Youth Organization that seeks to unite and consolidate efforts of youth, as well as striving for the betterment of the Socio, Economic, Educational, Cultural, Gender and the Political situations among the youth. We are youth from Zimbabwe, united by a common vision; to strengthen and sustain an actively compassionate humanity. Our movement is open to any youth who pursues this goal. As the Youth Affirmative Foundation, we aim to support all young people in the Zimbabwe and the world to exercise their rights to participate in decisions that affect them and to have a voice on issues about which they have a strong opinion. Well, we want to be youth champion by representing the voice of young people in the Zimbabwe We represent a unique and diverse group of young people; providing them with opportunities to get active and have a voice heard on decisions which affect their life and which you are interested in.
