Dangers of Venturing into Farming Without Proper Knowledge and Financial Planning
As we fold the tides of Spring and welcome Summer (long day season), this entails that land prep is complete or at least 85% complete. This also means that our inputs are in, all the fertilizer, the seed, the chemicals are in.
I would like to assure you, and many would back me up, that farming is a very rewarding and lucrative business. You are guaranteed of a fulfilling lifestyle, food security, personal development and above all you create a legacy or heritage for your generations to come. However, don't let your enthusiasm obscure your judgement, you need to invest in patience, hard work with dedication and expertise. Put more emphasis in dedicating time and resources to learning and researching. Do not skip the aspect of planning, to ensure a successful and sustainable business.
Farming is both physically and emotionally demanding, without proper Knowledge and Financial Planning it can lead to Stress and Burnout.
