π± Biomonitoring Training Highlights π±
On the 14th & 15th of April 2026, Musoromuchena Skills for Life proudly hosted a successful Biomonitoring Training, bringing together 110 participants from across Zimbabwe πΏπΌ
The training was facilitated by PELUM Zimbabwe and delivered by Grazing Concepts, equipping farmers and extension officers with practical skills to monitor ecosystem health and strengthen agroecological practices.
Participants included 40 farmers and ABAO officers from organizations such as Scope, Poret, Zivakwawakabva, Health Excellence, FaCHIG, Tsuro, Chenyika, Igugu Trust, to mention a few. They were coming from areas such as Chimanimani, Bindura, Masvingo, Harare, Matopo and Victoria Falls β creating a rich space for learning and knowledge exchange.
π€ The event was officially opened by the Makonde District Agriculture Officer Mrs Chiwawa, with the District Social Services Department in attendance and the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development represented by the District Head Mai Mangwanya, Ministry of Youth represented by Mr Takawira, emphasizing the importance of inclusive, community-driven development.
Youth in Agroecology represented by the youth farmers from the area and Foundations for Infinity meals (students from Chinhoyi University).
πΏ Through hands-on fieldwork and interactive sessions, participants gained skills in:

βοΈ Practical biomonitoring techniques
