WHEN THE FROGS ARE DEAD

"But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not heed them, as the LORD had said."
Exodus 8:15 (NKJV)
What do you do when the pressure is gone? Pharaoh made bold promises to God while frogs filled his bed, his palace, and his life. "Let my people go," he swore. But the moment relief came, the moment the frogs died, his heart turned to stone. The vows vanished. The obedience evaporated. The "tomorrow" he promised never came.
Sound familiar?
How many of us cry out to God in the midnight of our trouble "Lord, heal me and I'll serve You... save me and I'll change... deliver me and I'll give" — only to forget every word once the storm passes? The prison door opens, the doctor says "clear," the money comes through, the marriage survives... and suddenly God is optional again.
But here's what Pharaoh never saw coming: relief without repentance becomes a burial ground for the soul. Every time he hardened his heart after mercy, he was one step closer to a judgment he could not escape.
