VALUES ARE CAUGHT, NOT TAUGHT
Children learn far more from what they see than from what they are told. They watch how we speak, how we handle conflict, how we treat others, how we work, pray, serve, and respond to life's challenges.
If we want our children to value honesty, kindness, respect, responsibility, and faith, we must model those values consistently in our daily lives. The lessons children remember most are often not the ones we teach with words, but the ones we demonstrate through our actions.
Children become what they repeatedly see.
As parents and caregivers, we are our children's first and most influential teachers. Every day provides an opportunity to model the character and values we hope to see in the next generation.
"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." β Proverbs 22:6
