A new month brings new hope, new dreams and new opportunities. For us at the Voice of Youths and Children Trust, this is a time to re-commit to young people and to rise above challenges, amplify their voices and shape the future they deserve.

This past Saturday, proudly joined the National of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo for the first hands-on volunteer activity to kickstart building of a model wetland exhibition. πŸ’§βœ¨

This innovative project will harvest rainwater especially runoff from the museum roof to nourish the wetland, creating a living learning space for over 32,000 learners from across Zimbabwe each year. The model will also demonstrate how wetlands naturally filter water, protect biodiversity and combat climate change while showcasing power of inclusive participation, community ownership and practical water conservation solution. πŸŒ±πŸ’¦

As Voice of Youths and Children Trust - VOYACT we believe children and youths should be invited to sit at the table to discuss the meal, not to be the meal being discussed. They must not simply be spoken about but be included in conversations, processes and initiatives that shape their lives to share ideas, explore and take part in decisions. Every child and youth deserves to be heard, respected and valued in matters affecting their and .

Through skills-building programmes, family strengthening, educational initiatives and community resilience building projects, we empower children and young people to discover their talents, build confidence and create practical solutions for their futures. By providing hands-on opportunities and equal access to resources, we help them turn ideas into action, strengthen their communities and thrive across Zimbabwe.

We are currently reviewing our 2026–2030 Strategic Plan to ensure it best reflects and accommodates the evolving needs of children and young people, strengthening our impact and empowering every child and youth to reach their full potential.
