it was founded so as
to help the Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC, by providing a distinctive holistic approach to child welfare, which aims at developing child driven system of care, which focuses on establishing a stable and supportive community that assists with placement and case planning, encourages community members to guide families and staff in building a supportive community network, and actively engages the community in decision-making. Our main programs are Psychosocial Support (PSS), Children Living on the Streets Program (CLOS), HIV & AIDS Program and Community Capacity Building Programme (CCB). Though there are many organisation operating in the special interest of the children, street kids are still there, children are still facing challenges and high risks in their lives like the situation in Zimbabwe which is most probably the same or better as compared to other countries. As the country struggles to recover from a deep socio-economic crisis and disintegration caused by massive hyperinflation, political instability and seasonal droughts, floods, many barriers have been created that continue to reduce the efforts towards progress towards the welfare of children. The impact of these barriers to the country and community as a whole is that it has deteriorated the social sector leaving much of the population at risk and in need of humanitarian assistance especially the innocent, defenseless children. Hence the RAY OF HOPE FOUNDATION aims to cater for the basic needs of children, by providing socio-psycho support to the orphans and vulnerable children across the globe
