I am really excited about this one... I am now a Lovable Ambassador!!

Over the last decade, I have had the privilege of supporting entrepreneurs as they navigate the messy, exciting journey of turning their ideas into real solutions. I have also been deepening my work around AI, exploring its opportunities, building with it, and helping others understand how it is shaping the way we live and work.

Now, I am bringing those two worlds together into one mission: helping people use AI to realise their dreams, whether that means accelerating growth, building new solutions, or creating the freedom to pursue the future they want.

As an Ambassador, I now get access to the latest features early, which means I can create better content, better learning experiences, and more practical opportunities for people to build with these tools as they launch. It also means I will be able to host events where participants get meaningful support, useful resources, and the chance to create genuinely exciting projects.

To start with, I will be hosting an event in Nottingham in the coming weeks with the support of the Centre for Business and Industry Transformation (CBIT) at Nottingham Trent University . Keep an eye out for details.

If you would like to work with me on a workshop, webinar, training session, or hackathon, send me a message!

It is time to build the future that we want.

We recently travelled to Ghana... joining a growing community of transitional justice champions and organisations supporting transformative interventions in transitional justice processes across Africa. It was a deeply grounding experience. Being in spaces where people are actively working to reshape how justice is understood, documented, and practiced reminded us why this work matters.

During our time there, we shared our journey in building and rolling out our AI powered digital archive - Truthive and more importantly, opened up conversations around something we believe is critical:

How do we ensure that AI supports ethical, inclusive, and sustainable documentation, especially in sensitive contexts like transitional justice?

As AI becomes more embedded in how stories, histories, and data are captured, a few key reflections stood out:

1. AI can unintentionally reinforce bias, making already vulnerable perspectives even less visible
2. It can amplify dominant narratives while silencing nuance and lived realities
3. Without context, documentation risks becoming accurate, but not truthful
4. And without participation, communities risk becoming subjects of data, not owners of their narratives.

More than technology and AI, these are deeply human challenges.

At the The TechVillage Innovation Centre, we continue to approach technology as a tool for action and impact, one that must be designed with care, intention, and community at its core.

This journey with Truthive is still unfolding, and spaces like this remind us that we are not building alone. We are part of a wider movement working toward more just, inclusive, and accountable systems across the continent!

After more than a decade of supporting early-stage entrepreneurship and working closely with innovative ventures, we recognised the need to go deeper into the foundations of talent development. So, in partnership with the National University of Science and Technology, we established the TechVillage Innovation Centre Prize - an annual award for the top-performing male and female students studying Information Management and Technology.

This initiative is part of our evolution from a startup hub into a full Innovation Centre, built around three key pillars: People, Infrastructure, and Data. It reflects our long-term vision to connect academic excellence with real-world opportunity, ensuring that talent in Zimbabwe is recognised, nurtured, and equipped to lead in a changing world.

Why Information Management and Technology? Because the future depends on it. As the demand for skills in data and artificial intelligence continues to grow globally, the ability to manage, interpret, and build with information has become one of the most valuable capabilities of our time. Developing these skills locally is essential for Zimbabwe’s innovation and competitiveness.

Congratulations to Florence Thembeni Ndlovu and Nyasha Muzanago, the 2025 winners of the TechVillage Innovation Centre Prize, awarded at the October graduation ceremony at NUST. Their hard work and achievement represent the best of what’s possible when talent meets opportunity.

As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited to expand our involvement across more universities and scale the prize to other institutions. This is just the beginning of our mission to support talent development and strengthen Zimbabwe’s innovation ecosystem.

At the TechVillage Innovation Centre, we believe that talent is the foundation of innovation and building that foundation starts here.

Great conversations at the Records Management for Information Governance Workshop hosted by the National University of Science and Technology this past week. Our Prince Madziwa presented on how AI can be applied in data management, drawing from our experience building Truthive, our AI solution for document understanding and knowledge access.

The session explored how records are not just data points but a part of a larger information ecosystem. Before applying AI, it’s important to map how data moves, who interacts with it, and what risks or responsibilities come with using it. Ethical considerations are at the heart of deploying AI in record management. Issues like consent, data ownership, and bias shape how these solutions perform and how they are perceived.

Thank you to NUST for curating this important dialogue and all the partner organisations for making this happen. We’re excited to keep sharing and learning as we shape the future of responsible AI in Africa.
