Call for applications!!
The Women’s Leadership Development Program, a flagship initiative of Shield Foundation is an initiative aimed at empowering Young Women and Girls in different industries and sectors through offering business, civic and public management education. The program seeks to build a new generation of Young Women Leaders and experts to serve in accelerating development in the context of SDGs and Agenda 2063.
The training produces progressive, knowledgeable and responsive young Leaders Equipped with essential knowledge, skills and values for their effective contribution to the social, economic and political discourse of Zimbabwe. The Leadership Training targets young Leaders with proven socio-economic and political interests and abilities
The program selects 20 participants who will undergo a one month hybrid training every year. The participants are required to have demonstrated an understanding of poverty eradication, sustainable development, the SDGs and Africa Agenda 2063.
The June 2023 cohort will run in line with the IWD 2023 Theme "DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality" and will be focused on women in tech. The program will take participants through Human Centered Design thinking, Ideation, Business Development, Pitch Training and more.
Applicants must have interests in the Tech space, be running Tech-startups that are not older than 3 years. Women living with disabilities and those from underprivileged communities are encouraged to apply.
