On Saturday 14 March, Bulawayo City Leo Lions Club visited Mpilo Hospital Maternity Department to donate baby clothes and to create a working relationship with the healthcare workers in the department. We donated:
1. 25 vests
2. A 2-piece set
3. 2 Rompers

Part of the beneficiaries were two mothers who gave birth to twins, a premature baby, a disadvantaged young girl and other women that were identified by the healthcare workers as most in-need.

As usual, we conducted a needs assessment to identify the other areas we could be of service. We will definitely be visiting again. If you have any bond paper, bed sheets, baby clothes, feeding utensils, diapers or skincare products for babies that you would like to donate, please reach out to the Club President, Leo Lion Munya on +263773477271

Ln Nyarai, Leo-Lion Memory & ADC Childhood Cancer Leo-Lion Luchiano went to drop of the rest of the donations we didn't leave at Mpilo Pediatric Hospital for children with cancer. It was donated straight to Kidzcan Bulawayo . We had such a talk with the team.As ADC Childhood Cancer together with Ln Nyarai & Leo-Lion Memory decided to ask them for 100 shoe laces to sale , as the cash will be take back to Kidzcan Bulawayo. It's a project Kidzcan has started in the Private schools . Ln Nyarai said she will help with details for government school to also take Park in the project.

On Saturday 14th February, in commemoration of International Childhood Cancer Day, the following Leo's/ Leo-Lions &Lions Clubs in Bulawayo visited the children’s ward at Mpilo Central Hospital.

An assortment of goodies, including groceries, was donated to help cheer up the children, and we are proud that all the clubs contributed towards this worthy cause.

The District Chairperson and Assistant District Chairperson for Childhood Cancer coordinated this meaningful activity and also made personal contributions.

In addition, ADC Leo Lion Luchiano and a representative from each Club will be visiting KidzCan Bulawayo to donate teddy bears, books, and crayons , all to put smiles on the faces of the children staying there.

A big thank you to ZC Lion Shirley and all the Leo's/ Leo-Lions & Lions who attended and supported.

On Wednesday 10 December, Bulawayo City Leo Lions Club honoured their promise to the mother's of Killarney Squatter Camp. We donated baby clothes to 21 babies as an early Christmas gift to them. A big thank you to our generous donor who donated these clothes to us.

On Sunday the 30th of November, Bulawayo City Leo Lions Club visited Killarney Squatter Camp to donate women's clothes that we received as a generous donation. We served more than 30 women and young ladies.

In our conversations with the women, they informed us that they would appreciate baby clothes as their infants are constantly growing but without sufficient clothes for them. This will be our next initiative
