‎The Zimbabwe Council of Copyright Owners (ZICCO) has learned with deep sadness and heavy hearts the passing of the beloved sungura music legend Nicholas ‘Madzibaba’ Zakaria. His death has left a deep void that no one can fill.

‎Dr Tafadzwa Masembura ZICCO CEO described Madzibaba as an incredibly talented artist whose music touched the lives of so many. His unique Sungura sound has left an indelible mark on the Zimbabwean music industry and the countless fans who admired him. His legacy will surely live on through the music he created. Madzibaba’s passion, professionalism and dedication to his craft were an inspiration to us all. We are grateful for the joy and rhythm he shared with the world.
