(๐†๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ 48:13โ€“20)

The service was filled with emotion as a powerful and spirit-led message unfolded through a simple yet profound illustration of Scripture.

The soft-spoken preacher, Mr Chadereka, drew the congregation into the Word of God through the story found in Genesis 48 โ€” the blessing of Josephโ€™s sons.

Joseph, now a man of great authority in Egypt, brought his two sons before his aging father Jacob to receive a blessing.

- Manasseh, the firstborn
- Ephraim, the younger

According to tradition, the firstborn was to receive the greater blessing. Understanding this, Joseph carefully positioned his sons:

Manasseh at Jacobโ€™s right hand
Ephraim at Jacobโ€™s left hand

Everything was in order.
Everything followed expectation.

But then, something unexpected happened.

๐“๐‡๐„ ๐Œ๐„๐’๐€๐†๐„ ๐‚๐Ž๐Œ๐„๐’ ๐“๐Ž ๐‹๐ˆ๐…๐„

To bring the Scripture into reality, the preacher called two youths from the congregation.

They stood to represent Ephraim and Manasseh.

Mr Chadereka positioned himself as Joseph, carefully placing them just as the Bible describes.

Then, Sekuru Mavhemwa was invited to stand as Jacob, the grandfather.

The church watched closely.

The boys were positioned correctly.
The moment was set.

And thenโ€ฆ

๐“๐‡๐„ ๐‚๐‘๐Ž๐’๐’๐ˆ๐๐† ๐Ž๐… ๐‡๐€๐๐ƒ๐’

Sekuru Mavhemwa, acting as Jacob, crossed his hands.

He placed his right hand on Ephraim, the younger.
And his left hand on Manasseh, the firstborn.

It looked like a mistake.

It felt out of order.

Joseph, just like in Scripture, tried to correct it:

โ€œNot so, my father! This one is the firstborn.โ€

But the response came with calm certainty:

โ€œI know, my son. I know.

Jacob went on to declare that although Manasseh would become great,
Ephraim would become greater.

In that moment, the message became clear:

God does not follow human systems.

- The expected is not always chosen
- The first is not always first
- The overlooked can become the preferred

What looks like confusionโ€ฆ
May actually be divine intention.

๐€ ๐–๐Ž๐‘๐ƒ ๐“๐Ž ๐“๐‡๐„ ๐‚๐‡๐”๐‘๐‚๐‡

The preacher spoke directly to those who feel overlooked:

You may feel like you are standing in the background.
You may feel unnoticed or passed over.

But God can change your position.

He can lift you.
He can favour you.
He can rewrite your story.

Because Godโ€™s choices are not based on human order โ€”
they are based on divine purpose.

๐€ ๐๐‘๐Ž๐๐‡๐„๐“๐ˆ๐‚ ๐‚๐ŽN๐๐„๐‚๐“๐ˆ๐Ž๐

This moment also points to a deeper spiritual truth.

At the Cross:

- The undeserving received grace
- The lost were found
- The rejected were accepted

God reversed everything.

Just like Ephraim, we receive what we did not earn.

๐…๐ˆ๐๐€๐‹ ๐‘๐„๐…๐‹๐„๐‚๐“๐ˆ๐Ž๐

The illustration left a lasting impact:

God is intentional.
God is never mistaken.
God knows exactly what He is doing.

So never lose hope.

Because in Godโ€™s kingdomโ€ฆ

The unexpected can become the chosen.

Celebrating the Elite Life and Enduring Legacy of Shamiso "Shanna" Nduru

The final funeral and committal services honoring the extraordinary life of _Shamiso "Shanna" Nduru_ are being solemnly observed today, _Monday, 13 July 2026_, in Bindura.

We gather as a community of faith to commemorate a journey marked by brilliance, to extend our deepest and unwavering fellowship to her family, and to find solace in the luminous legacy of artistry, grace, and inspiration she leaves behind.

In this season of profound bereavement, our congregation stands in absolute solidarity with our esteemed church leader, _Mrs. Muzavazi_, on the loss of her cherished daughter. We surround her and the entire family with love and fervent prayers. We honor the deep spiritual anchor, dignity, and fortitude that define their household.

On the national stage, Shamiso was a luminary โ€” a distinguished actress, celebrated model, and visionary entrepreneur who championed _Mashonaland Central Province_ with immense pride and distinction.

A stellar force in the Zimbabwean creative sector, she captivated audiences with her depth and vibrant spirit. Her remarkable artistic achievements earned national acclaim through compelling lead performances in celebrated works, most notably _Ndafunga Kure_ (2021) and _I Prayed_ (2025).

Her elite talent was further solidified when she was selected for the lead role in _Homecoming_, a prestigious short film backed by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe.

Magnanimous in her success, Shamiso married her public accolades with a quiet and powerful heart for service. She used her platform to uplift vulnerable communities with rare and gentle generosity.

While we navigate the weight of this monumental loss, we rest in the divine assurance that her earthly trials have ceased, and she has transitioned into eternal and glorious peace.

> _"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." โ€” Psalm 34:18_

May her soul rest in perfect peace.

PRAYER OVER PRESENTS

May 12th, 2026

By Tapiwa Chawasarira

Major Florence Shayamano, Chiwaridzo Corps, Bindura Division urged mothers to choose prayer over disappointment on Motherโ€™s Day, reminding them that true motherhood is marked by unwavering love, grace, and compassion.

She encouraged mothers who may not receive gifts to resist bitterness and instead cover their children in prayer, trusting Godโ€™s hand over their lives.

In this, she highlighted that a motherโ€™s greatest gift is not what she receives, but the enduring love and faith she continues to pour into her children.

At Chiwaridzo, there is a song that needs no introductionโ€”โ€œIchokwadi Mwari Variko.โ€ And there is a life that has come to embody that very message: the life of Mai Chitima.

If you walk into Chiwaridzo and simply mention that song, you wonโ€™t need to explain further. Almost everyone will smile and say, โ€œAhhโ€ฆ thatโ€™s Mai Chitimaโ€™s song.โ€ And when she sings it, you can picture it clearlyโ€”gently playing with her finger, stressing each word with conviction, as if declaring to every heart: โ€œIndeed, Mwari variko.โ€ Truly, it fits herโ€”because her life itself is a living testimony that God is real.

Today is not just another date on the calendar. Today, we celebrate a life that has quietly, faithfully, and consistently spoken louder than words.

As Chiwaridzo Media, we pause with grateful hearts to say: Happy Birthday, Amai vedu!

Happy birthday, our mother. Your special day comes just four days before Motherโ€™s Dayโ€”as if heaven itself set this time apart to honour you twice.

You are not just a member of this churchโ€”you are home to many. A mother. A guide. A steady hand in moments when direction is needed. In your calmness there is wisdom, in your silence there is strength, and in your presence there is reassurance. As the Word of God reminds us in Proverbs 31:26, โ€œShe opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.โ€ This is the grace we see in you every day.

For years, you have served faithfully as our Corps Treasurer with integrity and dedicationโ€”handling the work of God with humility and a committed heart. Not for recognition, but because you understand what it truly means to serve. Beyond the church, you are also a veteran health professional, a nurse whose compassionate care has touched many lives, bringing healing and hope in the same gentle and selfless spirit you bring to ministry.

You are a veteran not just by years, but by impact. You have carried the work, supported the vision, and stood firm through seasonsโ€”seen and unseen. Many may not say it every day, but your life has shaped this church and community in ways that cannot be measured.

Amai, you are a blessing. A true one.

As you celebrate today, our prayer is simple but deep:
May God continue to strengthen you.
May He reward your faithfulness.
May He fill your days with peace, joy, and grace.
And may your life continue to declare, louder than ever beforeโ€”
Ichokwadiโ€ฆ Mwari variko.

Happy birthday, Amai Chitima โ€” our grandmother with the infectious smile that lights up every room. May your day be filled with the same joy and warmth you so freely share with everyone around you. We love you and celebrate you today.

Happy Birthday, Mai Chitima.
We love you. We honour you. We thank God for you.

Today, with hearts full of gratitude and admiration, we celebrate a remarkable woman โ€” Mrs Chirume.

As the Chiwaridzo Corps Media Team, we are truly blessed to serve alongside you and to witness the beauty of your calling in action. Yours is a life that speaks โ€” not in noise, but in quiet strength, unwavering commitment, and a deep, unshakable passion for Christ.

Mrs Chirume, we have seen your dedication. We have seen your hunger for excellence and your tireless pursuit of growth. In your humility, we have encountered a rare kind of leadership โ€” one that lifts others, one that serves, one that builds.

You carry the responsibility of Corps Secretary with such grace and diligence, ensuring that the house of the Lord is administered with order, professionalism, and purpose. Even in the midst of demanding moments, your spirit remains gentle, and your radiant, infectious smile continues to encourage and uplift us all.

Wisdom fountain โ€” that is what you are. To many, you are affectionately known as Sis Mid, and indeed, you are a big sister to many โ€” a source of guidance, a pillar of strength, and a giver of great counsel. Some may say you are a woman of few words, but when you speak, heaven listens. What flows from your mouth is wisdom, deep understanding, and counsel inspired by the Word of God โ€” words that build, correct, and uplift.

Mai Tadi, when you smile, we see love flowing from the depths of your heart. You carry a gentle spirit โ€” always smiling, always speaking with a soft and calming voice. Yet we do not mistake that softness for weakness, for within it lies authority, conviction, and a presence that commands respect without demanding it.

Your life is a quiet sermon โ€” teaching us that true greatness is found in service, that strength is clothed in humility, and that leadership is proven through consistency and love.

On this special day, we pray that God remembers you richly. May He replenish every strength you have poured out, honour every sacrifice you have made, and open doors that reflect His divine favour upon your life. May your journey ahead be filled with peace, elevation, and fulfilment beyond measure.

We also take this moment to sincerely appreciate Mr Chirume, whose support stands as a strong pillar in your life. Truly, behind such a graceful and impactful woman is a foundation of strength, and for that, we are grateful.

Mrs Chirume, we celebrate you. We honour you. We thank God for the blessing that you are to Chiwaridzo Corps.

Continue to shine, continue to serve, and continue to be a vessel of honour in the house of the Lord.

โ€œBut those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eaglesโ€ฆโ€ โ€” Isaiah 40:31

Happy Birthday, Mrs Chirume. May your strength be renewed for even greater works ahead. ๐Ÿ™
