WHERE IS MY BUTTON?

Paul and Grace had been in marriage for close to fifteen years and everyone in their neighbourhood envied them. They posed as the perfect model of a happy couple to many people they interacted with.
It was on a Monday morning and Paul had a crucial meeting to attend. Paul picked one of his best shirts and when he looked at it, a button was missing. On asking what had become of the button, Grace professed ignorance and that infuriated Paul. The couple exchanged harsh words until an altercation ensued. The commotion attracted the neighbours' attention who later came to their rescue.

MORAL OF THE STORY
There are simple things like a button which can disturb a happy family and create cracks which can be very difficult to mend. Many couples shun or have underestimated the influence of marriage and family counselling and have fallen into pits which they can no longer rescue themselves from. It's not too late, God has a way out for you.

Family Compassion Dose for Healthy Families

Cases of su***de, especially among men, are escalating due to various reasons affecting people these days. It is a cause for concern, urgent attention is needed.

There is no reason valid enough to justify su***de. Challenges will always be there and we need to guard our thoughts. When we come across difficult situations, it is wise for us to look for someone to share with.

Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
In this passage of Scripture, Jesus wanted us to know that being anxious does not benefit us. God knows the desires of our hearts and if life is tough for you today, that does not mean God is not aware of it. God has a brighter future for you, He has good plans for you, plans to prosper you.

The devil knows and that is why he wants us to surrender life before we see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

EFFORT IN MARRIAGE

The real act of marriage takes place in the heart not at the wedding venue, church or synagogue. It's a choice you make not just on your wedding day but over and over again and that choice is reflected in the way you treat your husband or wife. Be patient towards one another for all challenges to be faced head on and be dealt with by both of you. Marriage is not for the faint-hearted. Be strong and eventually you will see the promised land while standing on the rubbles of past challenges which would have been turned into a vantage point.

Do not run away from your marriage, unite as a couple and work together to fix your challenges.

Marriages requires long suffering because sometimes our spouses don't do what we expect and they say what we don't want them to say. Get used to each other and just like two branches squeezing against each other, there will soon be a groove which will make movement continue without any noise. Be blessed.
