🌸 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD 2026 – ENDING CHILD MARRIAGE! 🌸
Today, the Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development (CCCYD) joined the rest of the world in commemorating the International Day of the Girl Child, with a strong message on ending child marriage and empowering girls to shape their own future.
The celebration reminded us that every girl deserves education, protection, equal opportunities, and the freedom to pursue her dreams.
We sincerely appreciate our partners, Global Catalyst, as well as our mentors, parents, community leaders, and everyone who contributed to today's celebration.
Our message is simple: Poverty should never force a girl into marriage, and harmful cultural practices should never destroy her dreams.
Let us move beyond celebrations and take collective action to protect and empower every girl.

🌸 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD 2026 🌸
Theme: Ending Child Marriages – Protecting Girls' Rights and Futures
Every girl deserves a childhood filled with dreams, education, opportunities and freedom to determine her own future. Child marriage steals childhood, limits potential and denies girls the opportunity to achieve their dreams.
As we commemorate this important day, Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development (CCCYD), in partnership with Global Catalyst, reaffirms its commitment to empowering girls, amplifying their voices and advocating for an end to child marriage.
Let girls learn, not marry. Let girls dream, not suffer. Together, we can end child marriage!
💜 Happy International Day of the Girl Child!
