Dear young lady,

Some things look like fun today but can become a burden tomorrow.

Today, drinking alcohol has become normal among many young ladies. Some young ladies drink heavily, yet because everyone around them is doing it, they see nothing wrong with it.

When asked why they drink, you may hear:

"It is my life."

"I only drink occasionally."

"I drink for fun."

Yes, you have the freedom to make your own choices.

But freedom does not remove consequences.

The question is not only, "Can I drink?"

The better question is, "Where could this choice take me?"

Alcohol can impair judgment, reduce self-control, and make it easier to make decisions that you would otherwise avoid.

For some young ladies, drinking has been part of situations that have led to unhealthy relationships, premarital s*x, unwanted pregnancies, abortions, s*xually transmitted infections, unplanned parenthood, damaged reputations, and decisions that have affected their education, relationships, and future.

This does not mean every person who drinks will experience these consequences. A person who does not drink can also make harmful choices.

The point is:

A choice that weakens your judgment can increase your vulnerability to other harmful choices.

And some consequences do not disappear when the night ends.

The pregnancy remains.

The infection remains.

The broken relationship may remain.

The damaged reputation may remain.

The regret may remain.

Youth can make us feel as though we have plenty of time to fix everything later.

But life does not always give us that opportunity.

You may be enjoying the moment while unknowingly borrowing trouble from your future.

So, young lady, before you say, "I drink for fun," ask yourself:

What am I risking for this fun?

Before you say, "I only drink occasionally," ask:

What happens when occasionally becomes a habit?

Before you say, "It is my life," remember:

It is your life, and that is exactly why you should take care of it.

You do not have to learn every lesson through painful experience.

You can choose wisdom before regret.

You can protect your body, your dignity, your future, your relationships, and the purpose God has placed before you.

The reward of wise choices is not that life becomes perfect.

It is that you give yourself a better foundation for the life ahead.

Be careful what you call fun.

Some choices entertain you for a moment and cost you for years.

Choose wisely today. Your future self will thank you.

"A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences."

SYPHILIS

Syphilis is a s*xually transmitted infection caused by a bacterium called Treponema pallidum.

It can remain in the body for a long time, sometimes without a person knowing.

When it is left untreated, it can eventually cause serious health problems.

How can someone get syphilis?

Syphilis is mainly spread through s*xual contact with a person who has the infection, especially when there is direct contact with a syphilis sore.

The sore can be around the private parts, mouth, or other areas of the body.

Syphilis can also be passed from a pregnant woman to her unborn baby.

As young people, we should understand that choosing s*xual purity and abstinence before marriage helps protect us from s*xually transmitted infections and many other consequences of s*xual activity.

What are the signs and symptoms of syphilis?

The signs can change as the infection develops.

In the beginning, a person may develop a painless sore around the private parts, mouth or other areas.

Because the sore may not hurt, some people may ignore it.

The sore may also disappear on its own.

This can make someone think the problem is gone, when the infection may still be inside the body.

Later, a person may develop a rash, sometimes on the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet.

Other possible signs may include:

Sore throat

Headache

Muscle aches

Tiredness

Swollen lymph nodes

Sometimes, there may be no signs at all.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Having these signs does not mean that someone definitely has syphilis.

A sore, rash, fever or swelling can also be caused by other infections and health problems.

Therefore, you cannot know that someone has syphilis just by looking at them or looking at their symptoms.

How is syphilis diagnosed?

A person cannot confirm that they have syphilis from symptoms alone.

A healthcare professional needs to assess the person and perform the appropriate tests.

If you notice an unusual sore, rash, changes in your eyesight or other unusual changes in your body, or you think you may have been exposed, go to a health facility and get checked.

Do not diagnose yourself.

Do not diagnose someone else.

Do not assume that a sore means syphilis.

Go to a health facility for proper checking and testing.

What can happen if syphilis is not treated?

If syphilis is left untreated for a long time, it can cause serious problems.

It can affect:

1) The brain and nerves.

2) The eyes and eyesight.

3) The heart and blood vessels.

4) Other important parts of the body.

5) Pregnancy and the unborn baby.

Can syphilis be prevented?

Yes.

For young people, choosing s*xual purity and abstinence before marriage is the important way to avoid s*xually transmitted infections.

To those married been faithful to one partner.

Testing and early treatment are also important.

Sexual purity is a decision to protect our bodies, our health, our future and our relationship with God.

YOUTH HEALTH CALL TO ACTION

1) Learn about s*xually transmitted infections.

2) Choose s*xual purity and abstinence before marriage.

3) Do not allow peer pressure to push you into s*xual activity.

4) If you think you may have been exposed to syphilis, go to a health facility.

5) If you notice unusual sores, rashes, changes in your eyesight or other changes in your body, do not ignore them.

6) Encourage your friends to seek help when they have health concerns.

7) Pregnant women should attend antenatal care and receive the recommended tests.

Young people, do not wait for consequences to teach you what wisdom could have taught you earlier.

Choose purity.

Protect your health.

Take care of our bodies.

And when you have a health concern, go to a health facility and get checked.

The choices we make today can have consequences tomorrow.

One of the best decisions we can make is never to live an ignorant life.

The wise person does not keep walking toward temptation while trusting that self-control will save them at the last moment.

Protect your convictions before the moment becomes difficult.

THE GREATEST PROBLEM FACING MANKIND

What is the greatest problem facing mankind today?

Is it unemployment, war, poverty, climate change, disease, broken families, injustice, or the lack of genuine love and self control?

These are certainly some of the major problems facing the world today. They affect millions of lives and bring much suffering, yet as serious as they are, none of them is the greatest problem facing mankind.

The greatest problem facing mankind is sin.

Not only is sin humanity's greatest problem, but it is also the root cause behind much of the suffering, division, and brokenness we see in the world today.

Understanding the Problem of Sin

The Bible teaches that every human being is a sinner before God.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23

No one is exempt, whether rich or poor, educated or uneducated, religious or irreligious, all have fallen short of God's perfect standard.

How did this happen?

The Bible teaches that through Adam's disobedience, sin entered the world and humanity fell from its original state.

"Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned."
Romans 5:12

When Adam disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, sin entered the human experience, bringing spiritual death and separation from God.

At its core, sin is rebellion against God. It is choosing our own way instead of God's way. It is loving self more than God and placing our desires above His will.

The Consequences of Sin

The consequences of sin are devastating.

"For the wages of sin is death..."
Romans 6:23

Sin brings spiritual death, separating mankind from God, and it also contributes to much of the brokenness found throughout society.

Sin destroys marriages and families.

Sin breeds selfishness, pride, greed, hatred, and corruption.

Sin can influence leaders, organizations, communities, and nations to make decisions that result in injustice, division, conflict, and suffering.

Sin can contribute to disease, suffering, and destruction through sinful choices and through the broken condition of the world in which we live.

Because of sin, people often pursue the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life rather than the will of God.

Sin can make people to love money, power, pleasure, and material possessions more than they love God and their fellow human beings.

It can make people to reject God's truth and seek fulfillment apart from Him.

Ultimately, the greatest consequence of sin is eternal condemnation apart from God.

Humanity Cannot Solve Its Own Problem

Throughout history, mankind has attempted to solve its problems through education, wealth, science, technology, and social reforms.

While these things can address some of the symptoms of human suffering, they cannot remove the guilt of sin or reconcile humanity to God.

The deepest problem needs a deeper solution.

Humanity cannot save itself.

We need a Savior.

God's Solution to Humanity's Greatest Problem

Although mankind is sinful and unable to redeem itself, God demonstrated His love by providing the solution.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:23

God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to save sinners.

"This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."
1 John 4:9-10

Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again from the dead. Through Him, forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and eternal life are offered to all who believe.

Jesus declared:

"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
John 14:6

The apostle proclaimed:

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."
Acts 4:12

The Call to Repent and Believe

God calls all people everywhere to repent and place their faith in Jesus Christ.

"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16

Those who trust in Christ receive forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, and the gift of eternal life.

God's desire is that people turn to Him and be saved.

"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."
2 Peter 3:9

Conclusion

The world faces many serious challenges, but beneath them all lies humanity's deepest problem: sin.

Sin separates mankind from God and contributes to much of the suffering, brokenness, and evil seen throughout the world.

The good news is that God has not left humanity without hope.

Through Jesus Christ, God has provided the solution to our greatest problem.

Humanity needs reconciliation with God.

And that reconciliation is found only through Jesus Christ.

Being in double or multiple relationships may seem manageable while the secret is still hidden.

But maintaining those relationships requires lies.

And lies need more lies.

With time, trust begins to fade.

People get hurt.

And when the truth finally comes out, the damage is often greater than the temporary pleasure was worth.

What looks like having more options can become losing everyone.

IS GRACE A LICENSE TO SIN?

A note to every Christian.

Have you ever heard someone say,

"God understands, we are all sinners anyway."

Or perhaps,

"I am under grace, so it does not matter how I live."

These statements have become increasingly common, even among who profess to follow Christ.

But is that what God's grace means?

Did Jesus die on the cross so that we could continue living in the very sins He came to save us from?

Can a Christian deliberately practise sin and still claim that God's grace covers everything?

These are not small questions.

They are questions that determine whether we truly understand the gospel.

Today, many people celebrate God's grace but ignore its purpose.

They love forgiveness but reject repentance.

They want salvation without surrender.

They want Christ as Saviour but not as Lord.

The Bible never presents grace as permission to sin.

Instead, it presents grace as God's power to rescue sinners, transform their lives, and make them more like Christ.

What Is Grace?

Grace is God's unmerited favour towards undeserving sinners.

We were guilty before a holy God.

We deserved His judgment because of our sin.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:23

Yet, in His great mercy and love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place.

Jesus bore the punishment we deserved so that we could be forgiven and reconciled to God.

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8

Salvation is not something we earn.

It is God's gift.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith... it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9

Can Grace Be Misused?

Sadly, yes.

Even in the first century, some people twisted God's grace into an excuse for sinful living.

The Bible warns against this very clearly.

"For certain individuals... have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord."
Jude 1:4

Grace was never given to excuse sin.

It was given to rescue us from it.

What Does Grace Produce?

True grace does more than forgive.

It teaches.

It changes.

It transforms.

"For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say 'No' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age."
Titus 2:11-12

Grace does not make us comfortable with sin.

It creates within us a desire to please God.

What About Good Works?

The Bible is clear.

We are not saved by good works.

But we are saved for good works.

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."
Ephesians 2:10

Good works do not earn God's favour.

They are the evidence that His grace is at work in our lives.

What Did Paul Say?

Some argued that if grace increases where sin increases, then Christians should continue sinning.

Paul answered with one of the strongest responses in Scripture.

"Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live in it any longer?"
Romans 6:1-2

A Christian is not sinless.

But a Christian should never be comfortable living in deliberate, unrepentant sin.

The Evidence of Genuine Grace

When someone truly belongs to Christ, the Holy Spirit begins changing them from the inside out.

Their desires begin to change.

Their hatred for sin increases.

The fruit of the Spirit becomes increasingly visible.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control... Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires."
Galatians 5:22-24

Transformation may not happen overnight.

But genuine grace never leaves a person unchanged.

Dear Christian,

Grace is not God's permission to continue living in darkness.

Grace is God's power to walk in the light.

It does not lower God's standard.

It changes our hearts so that we desire to live according to it.

Come to Christ exactly as you are.

But do not expect genuine grace to leave you as you are.

The grace that forgives is the same grace that transforms.

Grace does not give us freedom to sin.

Grace gives us freedom from the power of sin.

"If we say we have fellowship with Him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practise the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin."
1 John 1:6-7

CASE #001, THE SLEEPOVER

James and Tukiya are Christians, they have been in a relationship for two years, and they have agreed to remain s*xually pure until marriage.

One weekend, Tukiya travels to visit James, it becomes late, so James asks her to spend the night.

They agree to sleep in separate rooms, and they both agree that nothing s*xual will happen.

Nothing happens that night.

The next morning, James says,
