CALL FOR HELP
We are appealing to all well-wishers for urgent assistance for Gilbert Moonga, who sustained a broken bone on 4 June at approximately 12:29 hours.
After the injury, he was taken to Nanyati Clinic at around 14:00 hours, where he was examined by medical staff and referred to Livingstone Central Hospital for specialized treatment.
Due to the lack of immediate transport, we had to travel on foot to Makunku, arriving at approximately 20:05 hours. Fortunately, we found an ambulance there, which transported Gilbert to Livingstone Central Hospital, where he arrived at around 22:00 hours.
Gilbert is in need of continued medical care and support. We therefore appeal to individuals, organizations, churches, and all people of goodwill to assist with medical expenses, transport, food, and any other support that will help him recover.
No contribution is too small. Your kindness and generosity can make a significant difference in Gilbert Moonga's recovery.
Thank you for your compassion and support. May God richly bless you

URGENT MEDICAL APPEAL FOR A 10-YEAR-OLD BOY

Open Hearts Foundation is appealing to well-wishers, churches, friends, and the general public to help save the future of a young boy in need of urgent medical treatment.

Mathews Muchindu, aged 10, was involved in a serious accident on 9th May 2026 while helping transport maize from the field to his home using a scotch cart. Unfortunately, the cart moved suddenly, causing him to fall, and the tyre crushed his thigh.

He was first rushed to Ngwenya Hospital where doctors provided emergency first aid and temporary support to stabilize his leg. On 10th May 2026, he was referred to Livingstone University Teaching Hospital, where an X-ray confirmed that he had suffered a broken thigh bone.

Mathews is currently at home waiting for surgery scheduled for 3rd June 2026. The required medical treatment and surgery cost is K13,000, but the family has only managed to raise K2,000 so far, leaving a balance of K11,000.

Without proper treatment, the child risks permanent disability and may never walk properly again.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

1. Pray for Mathews’ healing and successful surgery
2. Donate any amount towards his treatment
3. Share this message with others who may be willing to help

Fundraising Appeal – Let’s Help Together 🙏
Carllen Chabinga has been mentioned in a post and is currently organizing a fundraising effort to support a young girl in the photos.
Her name is Lillian, from MC compound. She is suffering from an autoimmune skin condition, and at the moment she is unable to afford the ointment and medication she needs for her treatment. 💔
The goal is to raise K4,000 to help her access the medicine she urgently needs.
Please friends, any contribution will help her buy the required medication. Let’s join hands and support our sister. Let’s remember—we find family in friends and in our community. Even a little will go a long way. 🙏
Kindly support and share this post so it can reach more people.

‎April 16

‎Today, Open Hearts Foundation held a powerful community awareness event, graced by Her Worship the Mayor of Livingstone. The focus was on cancer, albinism, and disability — reminding us of the importance of compassion, understanding, and unity.

‎As it is written in John 9:1–3, our conditions do not define our worth before God. We are all created in His image.

‎It is only us as human beings who create labels and divisions — but in God’s eyes, we are the same, equally loved and equally valuable.

‎Let’s choose to see people the way God sees them. 🤍

Heartfelt Appreciation for the Support Towards the Late Bridget Nasiyongo’s Funeral
On 31st March 2026, the Livingstone community was struck with sorrow at the passing of Bridget Nasiyongo, who lost her battle with cancer at the Cancer Disease Hospital in Lusaka. In this difficult time, the outpouring of compassion and generosity from leaders and community members has brought comfort and relief to the bereaved family.
The Open Hearts Foundation Management extends its deepest gratitude to the Honourable Member of Parliament for Livingstone, Rodney Sikumba, Her Worship the Mayor Constance Nalishebo Mulebai, Livingstonians living in Lusaka, Mr. Siasiloka, the Nakatindi Ward leadership, and all individuals who contributed to covering the funeral expenses. Your kindness has lightened the heavy burden of grief and ensured that Bridget was brought home to Livingstone for a dignified and befitting burial.
This collective act of humanity is a shining example of unity and compassion. It reminds us that in times of sorrow, we are strongest when we stand together. May the spirit of generosity and solidarity shown during this time continue to flourish in our community.
From the bottom of our hearts, we say thank you. May the Lord bless you abundantly for your open hearts and unwavering support.
