Fellow residents, farmers, business community, and dedicated UPND members in our newly created Dongwe Constituency,

This evening, I stand before you with a heart full of joy and profound gratitude. Today marks a historic milestone in our journey toward equitable development. The official creation of Dongwe Constituency by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) is not just a change in boundary lines; it is the breaking of a new dawn for us in North-Western Province.

I want to extend my deepest thanks to the Father of the Nation, His Excellency, President Hakainde Hichilema, and the entire UPND top leadership. Thank you for listening to our cry for better representation and for bringing governance closer to our people.

This decision shows that President Hichilema loves the people of Dongwe and is committed to decentralization and taking development to rural communities through enhanced Constituency Development Funds (CDF).

As your aspiring candidate, I am deeply inspired by this move. It is a testament to the "Zambia Forward" agenda, where no part of this country is left behind.

To the people of Dongwe, this is our opportunity. The government has delivered, and now it is our turn to ensure that we foster development, strengthen our party structures, and prepare for a resounding victory in 2026. Let us work with unity and purpose to ensure the "New Dawn" initiatives in agriculture, education, and infrastructure are felt in every village of Dongwe.

Mafumbwe traders in K100,000 capital boost courtesy of Masumba

Traders at Mufumbwe market in North - Western province have received a cash of K100,000 from ex - Mufumbwe member of parliament Steven Masumba.

Masumba said the cash was given as part of his effort to boosting capital for various traders running different "small business" at the trading facility.

"We looked at people running the smallest businesses in the market and those who who fail to start up something such as purchasing a box of tomato or those who sell fritters but are unable to buy a bag of flour for their business.

These are people we are empowering with the the hope that they grow their business," Masumba said.

Masumba disclosed that over a 100 traders benefitted from the capital injection.

"Our plan is to see to it that more such traders benefit from this initiative which basically aims at supporting the youth and women operating as SMEs," he said.

Masumba stated that the intention is not to leave anyone behind, adding more traders will soon receive capital boost too.

Meanwhile, traders at the market expressed happiness the gesture by the former deputy minister of sport and youth.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MUFUMBWE COUNCIL FC – 12.07.2025

Mufumbwe Football District Association wishes to extend its heartfelt congratulations to Mufumbwe Council FC for winning the Hon. Steven Masumba Ntongo Cup 2025, a prestigious title dubbed as “THE ELITE NTONGO CUP”.

Mufumbwe Council FC beat Mufumbwe United FC 4–2 on penalties after a goalless 90 minutes of regular time.

The Elite Group featured the following teams:
