Something to think about
I forgot to preface why I'm posting this to the group.
I couldn't sleep last night and my thoughts turned to a bit of prose I wrote - 2019. I learned earlier today, that my friend had a bad night - dreaming of the abuse he suffered as a young man.

This bit of prose was inspired by a novel written by an author/ friend who writes Male/Male romance novels. He is also a skilled photographer He is a master wordsmith. A master storyteller who skillfully immerses you into his stories... You taste the Chocolate cake; smell the toothpaste. Feel the warmth of the sun. Feel soft lips on yours. Feel the heartbeat... Everything seems so real -- you sigh at the or***ms.

Salute to Love:

Who tells us how to live our lives? Or what we should dream about? It's our dream. Our personal life should remain private. Unless we choose to share.

No one should ever be the subject of abuse_ physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.

A Salute to Love
Of life and love;
life is mysterious.
Love is a mystery.
"Love is like Pixie Dust...
it falls wherever it wants...
and when it does you can fly."

We were born to love and be loved in return.
We have a body and a mind. A soul.
We were born to be seen, heard; understood.

We were born to taste; touch. Feel. Express.
Experience. We were born to live life Fully.

We are here to celebrate the beauty and the wonder of love;
Love is incomprehensible, inexplicable... unexplainable.

Who dares tell us what to Dream? We were born with a readiness to discover, and explore. We were born to dream.

Life and love are riddles:
We were born with a hunger for love.
Don’t let others destroy the magic of love.
Love is life.

We are to live_ life fully in the place
where the love of life never dies.
Love is beyond the skin and the
mask; live your life with
passion. Joy.

It's so. Sad to hear about what's happening in the country as at large and the fact that the country does not want to recognize that LGBT people are out there and the government does nothing about addressing the issue. It has come to my attention of late that such cases have Been simultaneously reported across the country. LGBT people are out there and are not recognised and not only are they there but are not given the attention they need. We need to stand up for one another and let them know that we as the LGBTQ members have always been there and we've been there through out history. If we are not going to stand up for one another then no one ever will cause each time people here about LGBT always associate it with disgust without knowing that those LGBT members are even part of their family . Be it blind, it honestly shows that the blind boy is LGBT and a teenager who's feeling get complicated when they reach adolescent stage and without proper s*x education hence such issues come about. No one turns LGBT just becouse they are previously s*xuality abused that's just a myth and a lie as it is that if a male child plays with dolls it does not necessarily mean they will become LGBT member. LGBT people are targeted and demonized without justification at all. No one chooses who to be or who to love but we are all entitled to love.

We understand that there are people born different. We understand and respect that not everyone can be like us. We respect other people's choices and respect their decisions. I know so many hiding in marriages and ain't straight and their spouse have no idea... I hope and pray that one day, you will freely come out.

I am a Christian and straight man but I choose not to be homophobic. I will let God be the judge for everyone's sin.

Hello everyone I hope we are all doing well and are in good health. I wanna first if all thank you all for the solidary anong ourselves and the love that we share as one people. We are one people regardless of our differences. I know that being lgbt isn't easy either be it individually or as a minority grould especially in African countries as there are lots of beliefs towards the topic, lgbtq issues comes with a lot of controversy due to our conservative nation and continent as a whole other people when they hear about lgbt issues they feel a sense of threat to society, it's labeled as a sin by religion and its punishable by law. This is due tolack of knowledge and understanding that people experience. They think being lgbt happens to others besides their family members but that's not true . No person has to feel they an unspoken expectation for them to feel like they should be straight and that it's the only option . Being lgbt is not chosen by an individual but it chooses an individual. We need to learn to fight for what we believe in,Together we can do it. There is an African proverb which says that" if you wanna go fast go alone but if you wanna go far go together " we can do it when we stand together. If not us then who will do it for us?. Let us fight for our future and our younger generation's cos we are here for good and we belong as much as any one else does cos this is our motherland.we can do it, Thank you.
