Following the tragic official confirmation recorded via our global IMICS (International Incident Management & Information Capturing System), we come forward today not to step away, but to stand closer.
To Helen, Thomas, and Neelan: please be reminded that in no way does this conclusion mean our watch ends. We stand here as past and present members of the South African Police Services and the One-Nation Zambia Police Service. 🇿🇲🇿🇦
We recognise the profound cross-border leadership of Commissioner Maven Chisuta, General Gopz Govender, and our central custodianship organisation. Through our highly specialised PLANET-CAN Technologies and PLANET-CAN (Positively Leading And Networking Everyone Together In Community Action Networks), we remain on a neutral journey and rollout to all 195 nations. 🌍🛡️
Collectively, there is no greater power for peace, harmony, strength, and capacity than what we possess in our African nations—particularly within the home of One-Nation Zambia and the birthplace of South Africa. As nations, we stand with you. 🤝
I want the world to hear this most: We stand with Mitch. He is centred in our hearts and souls. We choose to focus our energy on him, his life, his incredible journey, and every single positive memory. We publicly reject the pull of questions we cannot answer; we refuse to allow any stumbling blocks of "why" or "how" to take root. We will not ask if we could have done more, because that is already answered: Thomas, Helen, you are the most incredible parents. 💜
Thomas, you are such a great father. You led this entire investigation with a strength, wisdom, and endless energy—moving from meeting after meeting, door after door. 🎖️ You drew off a power that cannot be explained by science or prediction; it is the raw power of human connection and transcending love and belonging.
As policemen, we live and breathe to protect this world of humanity's journey—of intimacy, privacy, connection, accumulated memories, souvenirs, wealth, and assets. This is our legacy. Thank you for your light and personal truth, and your deep love and care for Mitch, which was felt and supported by every single one of us. ✨🛡️
So now, we lean into the pure grief. We feel this pain deeply because Mitch was loved, he was valued, and he was a highly successful presence in our lives, our world, and our memory.
