On this special occasion of International Women’s Day, the Ibenga Area Gender Association (IAGA) proudly joins the world in celebrating the strength, resilience, and achievements of women and girls everywhere. This year’s theme, “𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝑨𝑳𝑳 𝑾𝑶𝑴𝑬𝑵 𝑨𝑵𝑫 𝑮𝑰𝑹𝑳𝑺: 𝑹𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻𝑺, 𝑬𝑸𝑼𝑨𝑳𝑰𝑻𝒀, 𝑬𝑴𝑷𝑶𝑾𝑬𝑹𝑴𝑬𝑵𝑻,” resonates deeply with our mission and the work we do every day.

At IAGA, we are committed to creating a world where every woman and girl has the opportunity to thrive, free from discrimination and inequality. Look no further than the Ibenga Area Gender Association , a community-owned organization dedicated to empowering marginalized groups in Mpongwe District, Zambia.

The Ibenga Area Gender Association is dedicated to supporting and empowering 5,937 vulnerable individuals in our community, Masaiti of Mpongwe District- Copperlt Province Zambia.

Since 2004, IAGA has been working tirelessly to promote self-reliance and economic empowerment among youths, women, orphans, vulnerable children, widows, the aged, disabled, and people living with HIV/AIDS.
Here’s a snapshot of the groups we support:

1. Orphans and Vulnerable Children = 1,104 individuals
2. People Living with HIV/AIDS= 285 individuals

3. Disabled Individuals = 300 individuals

4. Aged Population = 533 individuals

5. Youths = 1,076 individuals
6. Vulnerable Men and Women = 3,352 individuals

Our comprehensive programs include:

1. 𝗩𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: Equipping individuals with skills in carpentry, bricklaying, tailoring, and food production to enhance their employability and economic stability.
