Chibefwe Ward Councilor writes

"The Office of the Councilor Chibefwe Ward of Mkushi District strongly condemns the new trend of wearing masks either for fashion or whatever reason. The public should be warned that such masks are often worn by criminals who rob people in order for them not to be identified. My office will henceforth visit Mkushi Police to report this behaviour and seek intervention within the confines of the Law. My office is also aware of the increase number of junkies and also the increased number of cases of crime according to complaints by members of the community in FTC and Itala. I will also tomorrow remind the Police of our request for police patrols in our area. I would like to warn members of the public to stay away from the negative vices mentioned above. I assure you that when you are caught, you are on your own. I further humbly request members of the public to not take the Law in their own hands. Your concerns have been heard and as your elected civic leader, I will take it up with the relevant authorities. 💜🙏"
