As we celebrated International Day of the Girl Child on 11th October 2025, we celebrated our very own, Precious Sakala. Precious is a scholarship recipient of the Chibwezi programme and is studying for a Diploma in Primary Education at Nkana Academy College of Education and Health Sciences.

In commemorating menstrual hygiene day, we are grateful for partners such as Daria Mejnartowicz who embody the 2025 theme 'Together for a '.

Our young ladies are ladies are currently attending tailoring and sewing classes so they can continue to make menstrual pads and support access to education for girls in their communities.

Empowering Women, Transforming Communities!

We recently had the privilege of conducting a Basic Financial Literacy Training for an inspiring group of women preparing for Constituency Development Funds (CDF).

These women, the backbone of their families and communities, came together to learn vital skills to manage resources, budget wisely, and invest in opportunities that will uplift their households.

This training equips women with the confidence and knowledge to make informed financial decisions that will create lasting change.

A big thank you to these incredible women for their dedication and to all our partners and supporters who make this work possible.

Throw back to Dr. Daria Mejnartowicz's visit. She generously donated a sewing machine to one of our women's group. We had a brief session on how to make re-usable pads.

We now need to support the women to go to tailoring school and we look forward using of this amazing gift!

Daria Mejnartowicz culminated her visit with us in Samfya with a sports day, gave some prizes and a school donation. The community came out and we played volleyball, badminton, some wider and bonded. What fun we had!

A hands on approach to learning and information sharing on breast cancer with the wonderful community in Mabo K***a; about 47Km from Samfya town. We were lucky to catch the women on their antenatal day and worked through what you need to feel for during your self examination. Health personnel were on hand to encourage the women to seek medical and professional advice as early as possible.
