💦 Keep plastics out, keep turtles in. Every bottle, bag, or straw that slips into a river ends up somewhere—often wrapped around a turtle’s flippers or in its belly.

How to nudge friends (and strangers) to change:

- Show, don’t preach: A 15-second clip of a turtle tangled in waste hits harder than a lecture.
- Make it personal: “That coffee cup you toss could travel 200 km and end up on _our_ beach.”
- Give a tiny win: Carry a reusable bottle, use a mesh bag for snacks, or join a 10-minute shoreline pick-up. Small habits = big ripple.
- Connect to their world: Cleaner water means better fishing, safer play for kids, and cheaper treatment bills—everyone

Glass substances can harm water creatures in
several ways:

- *Ingestion*: Animals might eat glass particles, thinking they're food, which can cause internal injuries or blockages.
- *Entanglement*: Broken glass can trap animals, causing injury or death.
- *Habitat destruction*: Glass pollution can damage aquatic habitats, like coral reefs.
- *Toxicity*: Some glass types can leach chemicals into water, harming creatures.

Common glass pollutants:
- Broken bottles
- Glass shards
- Microbeads (in some products)

To reduce harm:
- Dispose of glass properly
- Recycle glass
- Avoid single-use glass products
- Support aquatic conservation effort

Plastic pollution can harm aquatic creatures in many ways:
- *Ingestion*: Animals eat plastic, thinking it's food, which can cause blockages, nutrient deficiencies, and toxicity.
- *Entanglement*: Plastic debris, like six-pack rings or nets, can trap animals, causing injury or death.
- *Habitat destruction*: Plastic pollution damages habitats, like coral reefs, affecting the creatures that depend on them.
- *Toxic chemicals*: Plastics can leach chemicals, contaminating the water and animals' bodies.
- *Microplastics*: Small plastic particles are ingested by tiny creatures, potentially harming them and the entire food chain.

Some alarming stats:
- Over 100,000 marine animals die each year due to plastic entanglement and ingestion.
- Plastic pollution affects over 700 species, including sea turtles, fish, and seabirds.
- Microplastics are found in over 80% of marine species.

Let's reduce plastic use and promote sustainability to protect aquatic life! 🌊.

"STOP POLLUTING OUR RIVERS! 🚨💧

WHO KNOWS THIS PLACE?

Let's speak out against the harmful practice of dumping toxic substances into our rivers! This not only destroys aquatic life but also affects human health and the environment.
