RIVERS DESERVES TO BE CLEAN

Clean rivers mean:
- Health: Safe drinking water, no water-borne diseases
- Life: Fish, plants, birds and all the ecosystems that depend on them thrive
- Community: Places for fishing, washing, and recreation without the trash and chemicals
- Future: Water is life. If we protect rivers now, the next generation and beyond still has them.

3 simple ways we can help keep rivers clean:

1. Don’t dump waste - Plastics, oils, and chemicals belong in bins, not in drains that lead to rivers
2. Community clean-ups - Even 1 hour a month with friends makes a huge difference
3. Speak up- Report illegal dumping and support companies/farms that treat wastewater properly

Rivers can’t speak for themselves, so we have to.

How to nudge friends (and strangers) to change:

- Show, don’t preach: A 15-second clip of a turtle tangled in waste hits harder than a lecture.
- Make it personal: “That coffee cup you toss could travel 200 km and end up on _our_ beach.”
- Give a tiny win: Carry a reusable bottle, use a mesh bag for snacks, or join a 10-minute shoreline pick-up. Small habits = big ripple.
- Connect to their world: Cleaner water means better fishing, safer play for kids, and cheaper treatment bills—everyone
