Big times ahead!

We celebrate our partner National Action for Quality Education in Zambia - NAQEZ for successfully hosting the CSE Defenders Training in Chilanga, a significant milestone in strengthening youth‑led advocacy for SRHR across Zambia and the region.

This training confronts some of the most pressing challenges facing young people today: rising teenage pregnancies, increasing HIV infections, persistent gender‑based violence, and the unmet reproductive health needs that continue to hold young people back. By building stronger advocacy skills and fostering informed community engagement, the workshop aims to drive more responsive, effective, and youth‑centered solutions.

This is yet another powerful step by the GEAR Alliance to ensure that young people are not just included, but are leading the movement toward healthier, safer, and more empowered generations across Africa.

Yesterday, our country coordinator Wankumbu Simukonda received the Copper Rose Zambia “Most Engaged Alumni” Award during the 10-year anniversary gala dinner.

CRZ groomed Wankumbu in public health and programme coordination, into the advocate he is today.

Yesterday, Saywhat Zambia joined the UN family and friends for the United Nations @80 Run and walk for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event attracted over 3,000 participants who gathered to raise awareness and drive action towards the SDGs.

The event was a powerful reminder that through collaboration we can do much more for a better world.
