The Southern African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) is currently supporting Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) in conducting voter education in The Southern African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) is currently supporting Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) in conducting voter education in Eastern and North-Western Province.

Empowering local communities with knowledge on voter rights, peaceful participation, and democratic processes is cardinal in this process.

Building on this critical foundation, this collaborative initiative comes at a vital time as Zambia approaches its general elections. SACCORD and CSPR are actively working to bridge the information gap in both urban and rural areas of the district, ensuring that no eligible voter is left behind.

During the official receipt of ballot papers at the airport, the SACCORD Executive Director congratulated Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ), through the ECZ Chief Electoral Officer, during an interaction with the ECZ Chairperson and Commissioner Sinkala. He commended the Commission for building public trust through openness and transparency, and praised its integrity, professionalism, and commitment to delivering a credible, transparent, and accountable electoral process.

Pallets of ballot papers received so far at the airport as part of the Zambia's preparations for the 2026 General Election. The clearly labelled consignments, organized by province, district, and constituency, reflect the commitment to transparency, accountability, and the timely distribution of election materials across the country. SACCORD is delighted that the day is fast approaching for voting and ECZ has delivered on time.
