Economics Association of Zambia EAZ is a non-partisan body whose membership includes experts in the areas of economics, business administration and allied fields.

EAZ is a professional organisation for economists and professionals in related fields of economics. Originally established in the 1960s as the Lusaka Economics Club, EAZ is a non-partisan body whose membership includes experts in the areas of economics, strategic planning and design of economic models, business administration and allied fields. In 1985, the Association was registered as a non-gove

rnmental organisation (under the Societies Act, Cap. 105) and has since continued to serve as a forum for the articulation of economic and other developmental issues. Its broad aim is to promote the discipline in Zambia and to enable significant and effective EAZ members’ contribution to improving the country’s policy development in the social, economic development and financial management environments.

EAZ AGM 2026 Stakeholder Engagement Update

Preparations for the EAZ AGM 2026 continue to gain momentum as the EAZ Secretariat advances stakeholder engagements and partnership mobilization ahead of the AGM scheduled for 3rd–4th September 2026 in Livingstone.

This afternoon, the Secretariat team engaged with Stanbic Bank’s Head of Brand, Marketing and PR, Mr. Thengo Ngondo, together with his team, to explore opportunities for collaboration and participation in this year’s AGM.

The engagement forms part of EAZ’s continued efforts to build strong partnerships with key sectors, particularly the banking sector, which remains a critical partner in supporting economic development, financial growth, and professional advancement.

The Secretariat appreciates the positive engagements with stakeholders and remains committed to creating a successful and impactful EAZ AGM 2026.
