IMRC 2026 Begins: Safety in Action

The International Mines Rescue Competition is officially underway, with teams now on the ground in Mufurila and Solwezi.

Group A – Mopani Central Training Centre
Group B – Kansanshi Copper Mines

Rescue teams are putting their skills to the test, demonstrating readiness, teamwork and precision in simulated emergency scenarios.

On April 30, teams will switch locations for the next phase (May 1–2), before heading to Livingstone for the grand finale.

Because in mining, safety is not an option, it is a priority.
