JAZ Leadership Attends NOCZ 2026 Annual General Meeting

Judo Association of Zambia was represented at the National Olympic Committee of Zambia Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 11 April 2026 by General Secretary Mr Mabvuto Ng’uni and Women’s Commission Director Dr Katongo Bwalya.

The AGM brought together representatives from various National Sports Federations to review progress, strengthen governance, and discuss key issues affecting the Olympic Movement in Zambia.

Among the highlights shared during the meeting was Zambia’s performance at major continental competitions, where judo contributed to the country’s medal tally,reflecting the continued growth and impact of the sport.

JAZ’s participation in the AGM highlights its commitment to aligning with national sports structures and contributing to the advancement of the Olympic Movement in Zambia.

TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY HELD DURING SAJC CHAMPIONSHIPS

As part of activities surrounding the successful hosting of the Southern African Judo Championships, a tree planting initiative was conducted at the OYDC- Zambia Sports Development Centre in Lusaka ,Zambia .

The event was held under the Green Dojo Initiative and was led by the Southern African Judo Confederation (SAJC) Elective Committee, alongside Presidents of various National Judo Federations in attendance.
The initiative symbolized a shared commitment to environmental sustainability, unity and the continued growth of judo in the region.
