Lusaka, 4th March 2026 - The Government has expressed its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, the Zambia Association of Musicians, and the entire creative sector on the passing of renowned music producer, songwriter and founder of Slingbeats Entertainment, Mr. Chali Mulalami, popularly known as Chali Bravo.

Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts, Hon. Elvis C. Nkandu, MP, said government has received with profound sorrow the news of Mr. Mulalami’s death, describing him as a pivotal figure in Zambia’s music industry who significantly contributed to the growth and professionalisation of local music over the past two decades.

“When we reflect on many of the celebrated artistes who have entertained the nation in the last twenty years, Mr. Mulalami’s contribution is evident. He was behind numerous great songs, either as a producer or songwriter,” Hon. Nkandu said.

“We have lost an exceptional talent and creative mind. On behalf of Government, I extend sincere condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and all those who admired and appreciated his work.”
The late Mr. Mulalami worked with several prominent artistes, including K’Millian, Mampi, General Ozzy and Roberto, among others, leaving a lasting legacy in Zambia’s creative industry.
