Menstrual Health Hygiene Day, 2026
Today, Arise for Social and Gender Justice joined the global community in commemorating this year’s Menstrual Hygiene Day.
We held an engaging and intimate session with 22 girls aged 10 years and above at Taonga Community School in Bauleni Community. The discussion focused on menstrual health and hygiene, helping the girls understand proper menstrual care while addressing common myths and misconceptions surrounding menstruation.
The session also created a safe space to discuss Gender-Based Violence (GBV), where the girls were provided with important information and referral resources for support and assistance.
We remain committed to empowering girls with knowledge, dignity, and access to the right information for healthier and safer communities.
