Empowering Lives. Transforming Communities.
Disability Does Not Define Ability.
At Live It Foundation, we came across a brilliant child filled with potential, ambition, and strength—regardless of physical impairment.
Many people believe that being born with a disability marks the end of hope. Some feel helpless or useless. But this is not the story of Gift Simata, a determined young man from Silolo Village in Sesheke District.
Gift is 15 years old and currently lives under the care of his grandparents. He is a learner at Silolo Primary School and has just written his Grade 9 examinations. Despite the tragedy he faced earlier this year, Gift remained hopeful, resilient, and never stopped believing in himself.
Live It Foundation visited Gift and his family to assure them that love, hope, and a better tomorrow are still possible. His family describes him as an achiever, a goal-getter, and a young man with a fighting spirit.
To help Gift transition smoothly into the next stage of his life and continue his education, the family identified several essential needs, including a wheelchair, improved living conditions, and educational support.
We therefore call upon you to partner with Live It Foundation and help make this young man’s dreams a reality. Together, we can help him move forward—one step, one lesson, one opportunity at a time.
