Morning Devotion: Growing in Grace

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” — 2 Peter 3:18 (KJV)

Getting closer to God is a daily journey. As you spend time in prayer, read His Word, and obey His guidance, you grow in grace and know Him more deeply. God is not asking for perfection today—He is inviting you to walk with Him faithfully, one step at a time.

Set aside a few quiet minutes today to thank God, read a short passage of Scripture, and ask Him to show you one area where you can obey Him more fully.

Heavenly Father, help me grow closer to You today. Teach me to pray sincerely, obey Your Word, strengthen my faith, and know You more deeply. Guide my thoughts, words, and actions so that my life reflects Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

Morning Devotion: Trusting God’s Guidance

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” — Psalm 119:105 (KJV)

Growing closer to God means allowing His Word to guide your thoughts, choices, and actions. When you pray and listen to Scripture, God gives you wisdom for each step. You may not see the whole journey, but faith grows when you trust the One who leads you.

Before starting your day, read a short passage of Scripture and ask God to show you one thing you need to obey. Carry that lesson with you and practice it in your words and actions.

Heavenly Father, draw me closer to You today. Help me to seek You in prayer, follow Your Word, obey Your leading, and trust You with every step. Strengthen my faith and deepen my relationship with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

God welcomes you into a closer relationship with Him. As you seek Him in prayer, listen to His Word, and obey His leading, your faith becomes stronger. Even small daily steps can deepen your walk with God.

As the new school term draws closer, we continue to pray and humbly ask for your support. 🙏🏽

We are working hard to complete the toilets so that our children can return to a safe and conducive learning environment. Our prayer is that this coming term, they will be able to learn in their beautiful, newly built Betty Classroom, built in memory and honor of a beautiful soul whose legacy continues to make a difference. ❤️

In Loving Memory of Betty — 1 Year Memorial

Today, we remember and celebrate the life of Betty, one year after her passing.

Although she is no longer with us physically, her memory continues to live on in a beautiful and meaningful way. Her legacy has been carried forward through the classroom built in her honor at Impacting Hope Christian Academy—a place where children will learn, grow, dream, and build a better future.

Every child who enters that classroom is part of a legacy that says Betty’s life mattered. Her name is now connected to education, hope, opportunity, and the transformation of young lives.

Today is not only a day to mourn her loss, but also a day to celebrate the great person she was, the lives she touched, and the difference her memory continues to make.

Betty may have left this world, but her legacy continues to speak.

“A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.” — Proverbs 22:1

May her memory continue to inspire kindness, generosity, and hope.

Rest peacefully, Betty. Your legacy lives on. 🕊️❤️

One of the greatest lessons I am learning in leadership is this: when God trusts me with people, it is not because I am better than them. It is because He has given me a responsibility to serve them.
The people I lead are not beneath me. They are people created in the image of God, carrying their own stories, struggles, gifts, dreams, and purposes. I may be standing in front today, but tomorrow God may use someone I am leading to teach me something I never knew.
Leadership is not a position that makes me superior. It is a responsibility that makes me accountable.
Jesus said:
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” — Matthew 20:26
That changes everything.
If God has placed people under my leadership, I must never use that position to look down on them. I must use it to lift them up. I must lead with humility, listen with patience, correct with love, and serve without seeking recognition.
I am not better than the people I lead. I am simply carrying a different assignment.
The same God who gave me the opportunity to lead can use the person standing beside me, the person nobody notices, or the person society has counted out.
So, Lord, keep my heart humble. Never allow the responsibility You have given me to become a reason for pride. Let my leadership point people back to You, not to me.
Leadership is not about being above people. It is about being willing to go before them, walk with them, and sometimes even kneel down to lift them up. 🙏🏽
