We talked about the fear of the Lord we cleared up the :
The fear of the Lord is not being scared of God.

In Scripture, it’s reverence, rooted in knowing who God is and who we are before Him.

It is the posture of a heart that trusts Him above self. That’s exactly where Proverbs 3:5–6 takes us.

This isn’t a call to ignore thinking or wisdom. It’s a call to careful with self-reliance because even at your best, your reasoning is limited, shaped, and sometimes biased.

True wisdom begins when we submit our thinking to God’s truth.
ā€œIn all your ways acknowledge Himā€¦ā€ Not just spiritually or just when you’re unsure.
In ALL your ways, he defines the direction. The promise isn’t that life becomes easy, it’s that God Himself directs your path according to His will.

Before your next decision, don’t just ask:
ā€œWhat makes sense to me?ā€
Ask:
ā€œIs this aligned with God’s Word, and am I trusting Him above myself?ā€

Intelligence gathers options.
But a life submitted to God walks the path He establishes.

You can be talented… and still be forgettable.

Davido is in Zambia and he wore our national flag šŸ‡æšŸ‡²
That wasn’t just fashion. That was emotional intelligence.

Whether you’re on stage or in a boardroom, the rule is the same:
People don’t just remember what you do. They remember how you made them feel.

We’re currently reading Hustle Like a West African…Davido is West African, reminding us why they dominate and it’s stretching this exact mindset.

Success is not just about talent. It’s about understanding who you are called to. Davido didn’t sing better because of the outfit. But he must have connected deeper.

This is where many people miss it. Numbers are good, but connection is better. Look at Jesus model he poured into the 12 connected with them deeply, he appointed the 72 and he sent them, but there was also the closer 3. Jesus didn’t treat everyone the same but He made everyone feel seen at their level. He wept, he had compassion, he ate with them….

You can be gifted…and still be overlooked.

In corporate, it looks like:
knowing your audience before you speak.

In business:
understanding your client before you sell.

In leadership:
making people feel seen, not managed.

Same principle. Different environments. The difference? Intention. What sets people apart is rarely the gift. It’s the work behind it. The awareness. The learning. The small, consistent actions.

Many times it’s as simple as:
picking up that emotional intelligence book…
joining a growth community…
and actually doing the work.

Talent may open the door but connection is what keeps you in the room.

One of the earliest personal development books I read was Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich. One principle that stayed with me is Definiteness of Purpose; the idea that all success begins with a clear, specific, written goal.

Watching the MJ biopic today, along with the behind-the-scenes clips now trending, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that principle embodied quite like Michael Jackson did.

Growing up, I knew he was ā€œbig.ā€ By the time I was exposed to his career, his name was often surrounded by controversy. But seeing his story in today’s viral culture gave me a new perspective on just how extraordinary his impact was.

He achieved a level of excellence that many today, despite having global access at our fingertips may never reach. Not because it’s impossible, but because the level of sacrifice required to truly master a craft is one many are not willing to make.

It reminded me of this:
Talent, like rain, is given freely by God.
The question is what do we do with it?

Oh, for the grace to commit and fully live out our gifts šŸ™ŒšŸ¾
Not for our glory, but for His.

I cried. I laughed. I was deeply inspired. 🄺

Proverbs 29 is essentially saying:
The quality of your life and the lives around you will be shaped by how you handle correction, authority, and self-discipline.

Proverbs 29 is uncomfortable because it forces a question:
Do you actually want growth or just comfort?

At a personal level, it’s about teachability vs stubbornness. Someone who keeps rejecting correction eventually faces consequences they can’t escape. Growth requires humility.

At a leadership level, it’s about righteous vs corrupt authority. When leaders are just, people thrive. When leaders are dishonest or oppressive, society suffers. This applies beyond politics homes, businesses, communities.

It also deals with self-control: anger, pride, and impulsiveness are shown as destructive forces, while restraint and wisdom lead to stability.

Also of the most quoted ideas comes from this chapter: without vision, people lose direction but that ā€œvisionā€ isn’t just ambition, it’s alignment with truth, discipline, and guidance.

the difference between a life that flourishes and one that keeps breaking down isn’t luck.
It’s whether you listen when you’re corrected.
