Trauma is not “bad behavior” it is often an indicator that something deeper needs care, support, and healing.

This session explored trauma and attachment in family placement, emphasizing the importance of reflection through the Window of Tolerance and understanding children beyond their reactions.
We learned how a strong sense of belonging, safety, and family connection plays a critical role in helping children develop healthy social roles, relationships, and everyday lives.

When children feel seen, supported, and connected, healing becomes possible.
