To commemorate Financial Literacy Week, we partnered with REZIL to deliver a financial literacy workshop for the learners at Flying Angels School in Ngombe. We also donated financial literacy books to both the participants and the school.

At R1CF, we believe that literacy skills are essential for children and financial literacy, in particular, is crucial for building lifelong skills that foster independence, prevent debt, and encourage long-term financial planning.
By teaching essential habits like budgeting, saving, and insurance early on, children develop discipline, patience, and confidence in managing their money.

The new school year is off to a wonderful start at Reach One Child Foundation!
We had the joy of equipping our learners on the Jack Lumpa Education Fund with the school supplies they need to thrive.

Commemorating World Read Aloud Day

On Saturday, 7th February 2026, Reach 1 Child Foundation joined forces with the Kafue Natives Regeneration Enterprise Limited and The National Sports Council of Zambia in commemorating the 2026 World Read Aloud Day with the global theme “Celebrate Learning”.The event was graced by guest of honor; the Kafue District Commissioners, Mr Maurice Hakapulwe. The world read aloud day falls on the first Wednesday of every February. It is an initiative aimed at promoting literacy and fostering community engagement. The 2026 Read aloud day was dedicated to strengthening community connections amongst the youths by shared reading experiences and sports while increasing global literacy rates....

Today, R1CF together with Kafue Natives will be commemorating through an exciting day of sports, stories, and colors — an activity designed to champion both sports and literacy among young people in Kafue.
We are excited to meet, interact, and create a fun learning space where young people can read, play, and express themselves.
