Chongwe Urban Clinic Community Dialogue meeting

At Chongwe Urban Clinic, a Community Dialogue Meeting was held to strengthen adolescent HIV disclosure, treatment adherence, and support systems.

Healthcare providers, caregivers (parents/guardians) and adolescents and young people (AYP) engaged in open conversations about the realities AYP face after learning their HIV status. Through group discussions and plenary sessions, key issues such as barriers to early disclosure, challenges affecting adherence, and the role of families and community support systems in shaping positive outcomes were discussed.

These conversations are more than just dialogue-they are action. By strengthening collaboration and understanding, we are building safer, more supportive environments where AYP feel empowered to accept their status, stay on treatment, and thrive. Programs like SKILLZ Plus continue to play a critical role in equipping AYP with life-saving knowledge and confidence.

This collective effort helps reduce stigma, strengthen support systems, and ensure that no young person is left behind in their journey to a healthy future. 💙
