Blessed morning, dear family of God. 🙏

Gather in God’s Presence

“For where two or three are gathered in My Name, there am I among them.” - (Matthew 18:20).

God’s presence is not limited to grand gatherings, beautiful buildings, or large crowds. Jesus reminds us that whenever even two or three people come together in His name, especially in prayer, He is there among them.

There is power in praying together.

Sharing a prayer with a loved one, a family gathering in faith, or friends lifting each other before God creates a space where we experience His peace, comfort, and guidance. When we pray together, we don’t walk through life alone.

God hears every prayer, strengthens every heart, and moves in ways we may not always see.

Today, value the gift of fellowship and prayer. May your home, conversations, and relationships become places where God’s presence dwells, and His love shines through.

May the Lord connect you with God-minded people to give thanks, offer encouragement, lift one another in prayer, and seek God’s wisdom and will in all things guided by the Holy Spirit’s leading. 🙏🏽

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for watching over me constantly. As I gather in Your Name, let my prayers draw me closer to You, deepen my faith, and strengthen my bonds with others. O Lord, fill my home and relationships with Your love, peace, and wisdom. Guide me daily in Your purpose and will and manifest Your goodness in Jesus’ Mighty Name.🙏🏾

May God’s presence surround you and your loved ones today. He hears your prayers, strengthens your heart, and fills your home with peace, joy, and thanksgiving. God’s love, mercy, comfort, grace, and faithfulness abound to us, IJMN. 🙏🏽

Scripture: Jeremiah 32:17

“Alas, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard or too wonderful for You.”

The Bible verse reminds us that God is the Creator. He made the heavens and the earth and everything that is in them. He even created you and me, my brothers and sisters in Christ. We must therefore endeavour to remember God’s immense capacity and the power of His spoken Word. Because our Lord God is the Creator, there is nothing too hard for Him. Hence, we need to always pray for God’s grace and anointing to be upon us as we carry His DNA to overcome and to be a blessing. We must seek His strength and power to be upon us always. With God, there is nothing impossible.

We must have faith and trust in our Lord God through His Son and Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ. We must pray when the facts look grim. We must always overcome the fear of what is happening around us and trust the Lord God through His Son and Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible verse reminds us that we must trust God as believers facing financial or emotional crises. We should measure these challenges against God’s strength rather than measuring God’s strength by the challenges we face.

Devotion: “Gratitude in the Waiting Room”

Scripture:
Psalm 27:13-14
“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Reflection:
Waiting is hard because it feels empty.
We pray, we believe, we do the right thing… and then we wait. For answers. For healing. For direction. For breakthroughs.

But the Bible never calls waiting “doing nothing.”
David says “wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart.”
How? With gratitude.

Gratitude while you wait is proof that you trust God is still working even when you can’t see it.
It’s saying “Thank You” before the answer comes, because you know the One who holds the answer.
It’s noticing the small goodness right now — breath in your lungs, food on the table, a message that made you smile — instead of only staring at what’s missing.

Waiting with gratitude doesn’t speed up God’s timing.
It changes you while you wait. It keeps your heart soft, not bitter. Hopeful, not weary.

God is not late. He’s preparing both the promise AND you for the promise.

Prayer:
Lord, waiting is heavy sometimes.
Teach me to wait with my hands open instead of clenched.
Thank You for what You’ve already done. Thank You for what You’re doing that I can’t see yet.
Give me strength today, and eyes to spot Your goodness in the ordinary.
I trust You. I will wait on You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Write down 3 things God has done in the past, 3 things He’s doing now, and 3 things you’re trusting Him for.
Read it out loud when waiting feels long.

RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH FAITH

“And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ.” — Philippians 3:9 (NKJV)

Philippians 3:9 reminds us that true righteousness is not based on our own achievements, goodness, or ability to keep rules perfectly. Our righteousness comes through faith in Christ and being found in Him.

Because of this, we should not depend on ourselves, but continually depend on God. His righteousness gives us a new standard for how we live, speak, think, and treat others.

Receiving righteousness through faith should produce a life that pursues what is right. We are called to practice righteousness, walk in obedience, and allow God’s character to be reflected through our daily actions.

Trust Christ, pursue righteousness, and let your life demonstrate the transforming power of faith. 🙏

The Goodness of God: His Protection Over Our Lives

Devotional

Over the past three weeks, we have stepped into August's new beginnings, received God's favour and mercy, and learned to stay hungry for His provision. This week, we turn to another expression of His goodness: protection.

Protection is often the goodness of God we notice least, because so much of it is unseen. We rarely know how many storms He has quietly diverted, how many attacks never reached us, how many closed doors were actually mercy in disguise. Psalm 91 doesn't promise a life free of danger — it promises a dwelling place. The secret place of the Most High is not a location we stumble into; it's a posture of continual abiding, trust, and nearness to God.

Protection flows out of relationship, not distance. The name of the Lord is a strong tower — but it is the righteous, those who run to Him, who find safety in it (Proverbs 18:10). We are not protected because nothing can touch us; we are protected because we belong to Someone faithful, who establishes us and guards us from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3).

Just as we learned two weeks ago to stay hungry for God rather than snack on sin, this week's invitation is similar: stay near enough to God that His protection has somewhere to cover. A soul that wanders far from His presence removes itself from the shadow of His covering — not because God withdraws, but because protection was always tied to abiding.

Today! Examine where you've been living — near the shadow of the Almighty, or exposed and distant. Return to your refuge.

Living God's Word This Coming Today

Spend time daily "abiding" — not just requesting, but resting in God's presence.
Release a fear you've been carrying alone; bring it under His covering.
Pray protection over a family member or fellow leader by name.
Trust God's protection over a decision or transition you're facing.
Notice and thank God for one "unseen" protection this week.
Guard your finances with wisdom, trusting God as your provider and protector.

Today’s Challenge!

Read Psalm 91 in full and personalize it — insert your own name into the verses.

Identify one area of your life where you've drifted from "the secret place."

Return to it intentionally this week through prayer and Scripture.
Share one testimony of God's protection with someone else.

Prayer

Father, thank You that You are our refuge and our fortress. Forgive us for the times we have wandered from Your covering through fear, distraction, or compromise.

Draw us back into the secret place of Your presence, where we can dwell safely under Your shadow. Guard our hearts, our families, our leadership, and our ministry from the evil one.

Thank You for the countless ways You have protected us that we will only fully understand in eternity. In Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

Declaration

I dwell in the secret place of the Most High.
The Lord is my refuge and my fortress.
He establishes me and guards me from the evil one.
I am not far from His covering; I abide near Him.
I taste and see that the Lord is good.
