We unpacked some of Zambia’s most pressing environmental issues including:
🌊 The pollution of the Kafue River by Sino Metals
🌲 Zambia’s alarming deforestation rate — with agriculture as the leading driver
🛍️ The plastic pollution crisis and the urgent need for stronger EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) laws
🌍 General water, air, and soil pollution — and practical solutions for a cleaner Zambia
Our message was clear: Environmental protection is a shared responsibility and it’s also not optional.
We are calling on The Government and it’s agencies like ZEMA and WARMA and not forgetting the agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and retail sectors, along with the general citizenry to step up and help turn the tide by being more proactive rather than reactive.
