OBT Global Gathering 2026 | Lusaka, Zambia.
Reflecting on a week that strengthened shared vision and momentum for oral Bible translation.

In May, more than 260 oral Bible translation practitioners from 53 countries came together in Lusaka, Zambia, for the third OBT Global Gathering. Centered on the theme “Many Voices, One Story—Multiplying Impact for Lasting Fruit,” the week was filled with shared learning, meaningful conversations, practical workshops, and renewed encouragement for the work ahead.

Participants especially valued the opportunity to learn from one another, hear country and regional updates, and strengthen relationships across organizations. Many left Lusaka with fresh vision, practical tools, and a deeper sense of unity around the shared goal of helping every language community hear and engage with God’s Word in their own language.

Thank you to all who helped make the Gathering such a meaningful time of connection, collaboration, and encouragement.

BiLTA Scripture-to-Song Workshop Produces 14 Chikunda Scripture Songs in Luangwa

The Bible and Literature Translation Association (BiLTA), in partnership with Walk In Two Worlds, recently held a three-day Scripture-to-Song Workshop in Feira. The workshop focused on transforming translated oral Bible Scriptures into songs that speak naturally to the local community through the Chikunda language, traditional tunes, and familiar musical forms.

- *Give to the Mission*: Contribute to advancing God's global mission, whether through a monthly donation, supporting a specific missionary, or funding projects.
