A few years ago,Ntini —now our NextGen Tech and Transformation Lead & Agness—now a Peer Navigator—joined Anakazi Center for Women Empowerment & Development as mentees, alongside many other girls from across all subdistricts in our Vision Board and Goal Setting Program. These were girls, fresh from school, shy, and uncertain about their futures.

Today, they are stepping confidently into leadership roles, blossoming into young women who are creating meaningful impact in their communities and becoming the very best versions of themselves. Watching their growth has been nothing short of inspiring—we couldn’t be happier or more proud of the incredible transformation they’ve achieved through our programs.

We remain deeply committed to supporting their dreams as they continue their journeys toward becoming all they aspire to be. A heartfelt thank you to our Directors Patience Mwila Singoyi, Sue Zulu for their unwavering mentorship, guidance, and support.

This is the Anakazi we love to see—empowering, uplifting, and leaving no girl child behind! ✨

Summary: Mental Health Session – Anakazi Center

During our mental health session at Anakazi Center, the girls shared and reflected on key nuggets for emotional well-being that can be applied in everyday life to strengthen mental health :

-Show compassion – kindness strengthens relationships and lightens our own hearts.
-Talk to someone – sharing with a trusted person provides relief and support.
-Take correction positively – feedback is an opportunity to learn and grow.
-Make small impacts – as the proverb says, “If you want to eat an elephant, eat it a bite at a time.”💚

The session encouraged practical steps to care for our mental health while building resilience and community support.
