When we first met him, we saw more than a young person without school shoes, a school uniform, or enough books. We met a bright, determined young person who refused to let his circumstances stop him from learning.

Every school day, he walks about 5km to school and another 5km back home. He never gave up on his education. He had never owned a pair of school shoes, didn't have a school uniform of his own, and had only one exercise book to learn with.

Yet, he kept showing up.

Today, he walks the same road, but with something he didn't have before: confidence.

Through Kindline, he received a complete school kit, including a school uniform, books, a school bag, and his very first pair of school shoes.

Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness give a child the courage to dream even bigger.

He is a hero in our book, not because his journey became easy, but because he never stopped walking.

Imagine walking to school every day without a pair of school shoes.

Meet our hero a young girl with big dreams and love for learning.

Every morning, she showed up for school determined to succeed, despite the challenges she faced.

For a long time, she attended classes wearing slippers because proper school shoes and other school essentials were simply out of reach. We met the young girl in April 2026.

But today, her story has changed.

she now walks to school with confidence, proudly wearing her school shoes.

One pair of shoes may seem small, but to a child, it can mean confidence, and the opportunity to learn without barriers.
