These remarks set the tone for the ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ต ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ต๐ป๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฝ Meeting held at Sarovar Hotel in Lusaka from 11โ13 May 2026. Sponsored by World Health Organization (WHO) and , the meeting brought together stakeholders from government, partners, implementing agencies, academia, and technical teams to strengthen coordination and align priorities across Zambiaโs digital health ecosystem.
The TWG continues to serve as a platform for collaboration and technical guidance on national digital health initiatives. Discussions focused on Ministry of Health-led innovations and priorities around interoperability, governance, system strengthening, data use, and sustainability.
Participating stakeholders included the Ministry of Health Zambia, Presidential Delivery Unit Zambia, CDC Zambia, World Health Organization (WHO), Unicef Zambia, United Nations Development Programme - UNDP, SolidarMed, academic institutions, and other implementing partners advancing Zambiaโs digital health transformation agenda. As IHM we showcased our collaboration with MoH in advancing digital health resilience, strengthening enterprise architecture, enhancing interoperability, and supporting National Health Exchange Platforms.

A key highlight was the emphasis on collaboration, sustainability, and consolidation. โOur systems audit shows there is a real need to take stock and consolidate,โ shared ๐๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ท๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ . โWe have an opportunity to leverage systems already operational, align investments, and accelerate progress as a country.โ He further stressed collective action: โLetโs cooperate. Letโs work together. When the country wins, everyone wins.โ
In his closing remarks, Andrew Kashoka reminded stakeholders: โWe have done quite a lot, but as we close out the 2026 strategy, we have to document not just the activities, but the real impact.โ
