*MWAZ Annual General Meeting & Scientific Conference 2026*

*Theme: Equity, Mentorship & Innovation: Sustaining Health Impact Amidst Funding Challenges*

Funding cuts are testing Zambia’s health system. Yet across clinics, hospitals, and communities, MWAZ members are adapting, mentoring, and innovating to keep patients safe.

We invite you to share your story, data, or experience at the MWAZ AGM 2026 through an oral or poster presentation. This is your chance to showcase how *Equity, Mentorship & Innovation in Service* are protecting health impact for all Zambians.

*Abstract Sub-Themes*
Submit under 1 or more:
1. *Equity Under Pressure*: Fair access, reaching rural/underserved groups, gender-sensitive care during resource constraints
2. *Mentorship as a Resilience Strategy*: Peer support, coaching juniors, protecting skills/knowledge with limited training budgets
3. *Innovation in Service*: Low-cost NCD models, task-shifting, telehealth/WhatsApp for follow-up, frugal tech, community partnerships
4. *Protecting Communicable Disease Gains*: Maintaining HIV, TB, Malaria progress when budgets shrink
5. *Tackling NCDs with Less*: Hypertension, diabetes, cancer screening/prevention models that work in underfunded settings

*Who Can Submit*
MWAZ members,associate members,mentors and mentees; any health scientists in women's health research. Joint submissions with partners/MOH facilities are welcome. Priority for work done in Zambia 2024-2026.

- *Format*: Background/Objective, Methods, Results/Experience, Conclusion/Lesson
- *Language*: English
- *Type*: Oral presentation 8min + 2min Q&A OR Poster A1 size
- *Innovation focus*: Clearly state what was done differently “with less” and the impact
