Happening Now: Civic Hub Activation #2!

We’ve just set up at a new spot! Today, we’re hosting our second civic hub activation for the campaign at ASADO Supermarket, right across from UNILUS Silverest Campus.

After a great turnout at Levy Junction, we’re keeping the momentum going, this time focusing on connecting with the amazing student community at UNILUS and talking about the power of the youth vote.

What’s going on?

• Real conversations about how your vote can shape the future.
• Breaking it down, why young people (18–24) matter so much in the 2026 general elections.
• Open and inclusive discussions, in partnership with Zambia Federation of Disability Organisations - ZAFOD making sure every voice is heard.

The energy here is incredible, and the conversations are meaningful. Your voice matters, don’t let it go unheard.

Jump into the conversation: Why does your vote matter in the 2026 general elections?

We are proud to welcome Blessing Bwalya as our second Civic Education Ambassador for the campaign. A 19-year-old International Relations and Development Studies student at the University of Zambia, Blessing is a powerhouse of youth leadership and a dedicated advocate for adolescent health, gender equality, and inclusive governance.

As an ambassador, she will be at the forefront of our mission, mobilizing young people to recognize that their participation is the cornerstone of a thriving democracy.

Blessing’s journey is defined by high-level representation on global stages, including Women Deliver 2022 and the ECSA-HC Regional Youth Summit. Her extensive leadership includes serving as the SHARP Regional Adolescent Group Chairperson for the Great Lakes region and Secretary General of the UN Youth Association at UNZA. With additional advisory roles for the Swedish Embassy and Adaptive Leadership Zambia, she brings a wealth of experience in ensuring youth voices are heard in decision-making processes.

In her own words, Blessing believes that every vote cast is a vital step toward better collective decisions. She joins the campaign to remind us all that our individual perspectives matter and that our votes are powerful instruments for national change.

We look forward to the impact she will make as she champions civic engagement across the country.

Today we are excited to launch the campaign as we count down to the 2026 General Elections.

This campaign is all about young people realizing that our voices and our votes matter. The choices made today shape the kind of Zambia we will live, work, and grow in tomorrow.

Over the next few weeks, we will be setting up Civic Information Hubs in Lusaka where young people can come through, ask questions, learn something new, and talk about why voting matters.

Our hubs will be popping up at different selected locations, so stay tuned to find out when and where we will be next.

And here is the fun part. When you visit our hubs, you will get to take part in our Pop n Learn activities. Pop a balloon, answer a quick civic question, and you might walk away with some exciting branded giveaways.

Bring your friends. Bring your classmates. Come curious, have fun, and learn something that actually matters.

Because the future is not something that just happens to us. It is something we help shape.

My vote matters. Your vote matters. Our future matters.
