OPAD- Southern Africa is an international, regionally registered non-governmental organization operating in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. OPAD is an acronym representing, the Organization for Poverty Alleviation and Development. It was founded in Stockholm region Sweden in the year 2005. OPAD- Southern Africa was established in 2016 to coordinate development program

s through collaboration with local based groups, organizations and institutions within Southern Africa region. OPAD- Southern Africa exist to mitigate poverty related problems, promote the adherence and respect for human rights and international laws that protects humanitarian values, and contribute to issues relating to climate change in Southern Africa. The organization also strive to enable young people actively participate in development agendas by enhancing their capacity as the key human resource in poverty reduction.
