✨ A Successful Donation to the Cancer Diseases Hospital ✨

Through the continued support of our partners, yesterday, the Zambian Cancer Society proudly made a meaningful donation to the Surgical Department at the Cancer Diseases Hospital (CDH)β€”a powerful conclusion to our Dukutober Breast Cancer Awareness efforts.

This donation, valued at K70,000, was made possible through the generosity and commitment of our partners, notably the Lusaka Gymkhana Club. Your support reminds us that community champions make advocacy stronger. Thank you for standing with us!

We were deeply encouraged by the words of Dr. Mwala, Senior Surgeon at CDH, who shared:

β€œThe items you have donated to CDH will go a long way in trying to alleviate the problems that cancer patients undergo through the process of treatment and recovery.”

We also appreciate Julie, representing Lusaka Gymkhana Club, who said:

β€œ The Lusaka Gymkhana Club is honoured to contribute even in a small way, because each one of us has been touched by cancer in one way or another.”

πŸ’› This donation is more than just equipmentβ€”it is hope, dignity, and support for patients and healthcare workers.

Items donated icluded:
- Closed wound suction drains sets
-Adhesive foam electrodes for ECG
-Skin staples
-Primesafe instrument disnfectant OPA
-NZYMed 100 Dosing Pump

As we continue working toward our long-term dream, the Tisamala Wellness Center, we are encouraged by the strength of our partners and the commitment of our community. Step by step, together, we are making this vision a reality.

Zambian Cancer Society Survivorship Empowerment Programme β€” A Fresh Start for Our Survivors.

Thanks to YOU, our supporters, the Zambian Cancer Society just launched its Survivorship Empowerment Programme designed specifically for post-active-treatment cancer survivors.

The journey after treatment is often filled with financial pressure, emotional adjustments, and the need to rebuild confidence β€” and the first session offered practical tools to support exactly that.

Our survivors engaged in hands-on learning around:

πŸ’° Financial Literacy β€” understanding income and expenses, building a simple budget, managing debt, saving, and planning for the future.

🌱 Self-Leadership β€” reconnecting with personal values, strengthening purpose, and making intentional daily choices. improving relationships, and building confidence.

A heartfelt thank you to our expert facilitators:
πŸ’Ό Ms. Mangalida Zulu β€” for simplifying financial management in a relatable, empowering way.
🌟 Coach Ruth Mwalusi Ngulube β€” for guiding survivors through leadership, self-awareness, and communication skills.

This Masterclass marks the beginning of the ZCS' Survivorship Empowerment Programme, a long-term initiative that will continue into 2026 and beyond. The goal is to strengthen financial stability, leadership capacity, emotional resilience, and communication among survivors.

We are incredibly proud of every survivors who attended β€” your courage, openness, and commitment to personal growth made this session truly impactful. Each participant left with one financial action and one leadership action they will implement within the next 30 days. πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸ’œ

Here’s to empowered survivors reclaiming their lives with strength and clarity.
Here’s to a future where no survivor walks the journey alone.
